Chapter 11

Ruby walks up, "It's fine, honey. Y'all should take all the time you need." Kenny nods.

***small time skip to dinner***

We had plenty of great food. We are turkey, ham, dressing, sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green beans and so much more. We were all talking and sharing stories.

"Wow, Professor. You're pie is great." Eren says munching down on his chocolate pie.

Armin was loving the peach pie. Sasha had both. Mikasa had a small piece of chocolate pie. Conny had a little of both. Annie also had both.

They all gave compliments about the desserts. I also got to know some of the other people there. I met Mikasa's parents. They seem like good people.

I also met some of Ruby's family. They told me some stories about when Ruby was younger. She was quite a rebel.

After all the eating was done, the whole entire group moved to the living room. Some sat in the chairs, some on the couches. Of course some were still standing and some were sitting on the floor.

All the students were taking turns on the PlayStation once again. Even some of the adults were in on the game too. They were all just taking turns playing Mortal Kombat.

I was sipping on my wine, while sitting in Levi's lap. He had a glass of whiskey. The tournament of fighting between everyone was down to Armin and Eren. By the looks of it Armin was winning.

Eren was getting frustrated, "Come on Armin. Won't you let up on me just a bit."

Armin chuckled.

At that moment, Armin finished Eren with a brutal kill.

"Damn it. Well, you got me. Good job Armin." Eren says shaking Armin's hand. "Same to you, Eren. You gave me a fight for sure."

I smile. Levi then places his free hand on my hip. "I overheard Kenny and Ruby earlier. I agree with you. We should take our time. I mean we still haven't found an apartment or home for us to move into yet. Plus, I want to be sure you want to be with me."

"Of course I want to be with you Levi. I mean, I see us together in the far future." I say placing my hand on his looking into his silvery blue orbs.

After about another hour of drinking and talking, everyone finally decides that that want to head home. Levi and I were in the kitchen helping Kenny clean up. Levi would get agitated if Kenny wouldn't clean something correctly. "That's not how you clean that." He tell him rather loudly.

Ruby called out to me, "(y/n), could you come here a minute?"

I tell Levi, I will be back and then head towards to where I heard her voice. She's in the guest bedroom digging through the closet.

"You called for me?" I say walking into the room.

"Yeah, what size boot do you wear? I got some old boots from when I first got with Kenny. I was wondering if you could wear them and would like them?" Ruby says pulling out a box of shoes.

"I can try them on." I say.

"Great." She slides the box over to me, "just take what you can fit out of there. Also could you give these to Levi? These were his mother's." She hands me over a box full of jewelry, pictures, and some other small things.

"Sure." I set the box down next to me. I then begin to try on the boots. There were only like 5 pair, and they all fit. So, Ruby gave them to me.

"Now, we just have to get Levi some cowboy boots to match two of the pair I gave to you. I really would like to see you both dressed up as a cowboy and cowgirl. That would make for a great picture of y'all." Ruby explains.

I chuckle. She's not wrong. It would be a cute photo. "Actually, Ruby, he has a button up western shirt and some real nice jeans that I bought for him not too long ago. He just needs the boots."

"What are your plans for the day after tomorrow?" She asks me.

"I'm not sure yet. Why?"  I ask her.

"Well, I was thinking of  going shopping for him some boots." She tells me with a face full of joy.

"I'll see what he has planned." I tell her grabbing all the items leaving the room.

***time skip to your side of the family thanksgiving***

"So, this is the Levi Ackermann?" My mom says giving him a hug.

"I've heard so much about you from my daughter. She's very fond of you, dear." She says leading us into my childhood home.

My step dad was in his recliner watching his westerns. The home still looked the same. The peach colored walls in the living room were still filled with many photos and decorations. The furniture was new considering that the old furniture would have been as old as me now. They now had matching sets that were burgundy colored. I could still see the kitchen with its black and white tiled floor along with the sea green walls.

I haven't seen the other rooms yet, but I knew they were just about the same as the last time I visited a few months ago.

"Hi, (step-dad's name)." He turns his attention away from the television to me. He smiles to me then looks at Levi. He still smiles but not as big as it was towards me.

"Hi, sweetie. How have you been? This must be Levi." He hugs me, then shakes Levi's hand.

My step dad pulls me away. "He's a bit shorter than I thought he would be." He whispers.

I chuckle, "Well, I did tell you I was slightly taller than him."

My mom walks up, "As long as he treats her well and they love each other I see no problem with his height." She says.

Just as I was about to continue the conversation I hear my step brother come from his room. My older sister and younger sister right behind him. They must have been playing the switch.

"What's up, nerd? I'm glad you got to see me." My step brother says. He then wraps his arm around my neck. He's always been a good bit taller than me.

My older sister speaks, "Who is the guy?" She says twirling her hair on her finger. Oh no, you are not about to flirt with my man.

"That's Levi. He's my boyfriend I talk you all about." I explain.

My younger sister snickers, and my step brother speaks, "He's a tiny little thing." He laughs out.

Levi gives him a look of annoyance. "Tsk. Tall bastard."

My little sister says, "Oh, he's a feisty little guy."

"Okay, Okay. You all quit picking on your sister and brother in law. It's time to eat." My mom says in the kitchen doorway.

Same as yesterday, we ate and talked. My step dad, step brother, and Levi all went out side to talk afterwards. Levi helped with a little bit of cleaning. While I stayed inside talking to my mom and my sisters.

If I had to say, both days went pretty well. Levi started to get along with my family. One thing is for sure he'd have to get used to the picking. Other than that everything was well.
