Avu gulped saliva down her throat and stood up. Thought of loosing this special person from her life was scaring her. She didn't want him to leave her or hate her. His back was facing her. She gathered the courage and brought her hand up to keep on his shoulder but couldn't so brought it back down before it could touch his shoulder.
Avu: Sid look I am sorry I...I should not have
Sid was staring at wall. He didn't know what to say at this point of time. Should he confess his feelings or deny them and let this just be a teacher student what it originally was.
Avu: Sid I am really sorry. Please kuch bolo. You can scold me, slap me, punish but please don't be quite like this. I can't bare this silent treatment. I request you Sid please don't do this to me
She joined her hands in front of him. Her eyes filled with tears while he was still standing there in shock.
Avu: See you don't want anything like that. It's completely fine. I understand. I respect your feelings, your decision. But please don't hate me or leave me. I request you Sid please
She said in a breaking voice and pursed her lips as tears rolled down her cheeks. He didn't see her face but her broken voice clearly told that she was in tears. He immediately turned around and looked at her. Her hands were joined and tears were rolling down her eyes. He held her hands and seprated them and wiped her tears.
Avu: Sid my feelings are not bigger than our friendship. If you don't want anything, I promise I will never think or express these feelings in my whole life. I promise. I will bury these feelings deep inside me for my whole life. But please don't break our friendship also. I need you
Sid: Don't do this please. You just calm down first
He made her sit back on sofa. He took out her water bottle and opened it and passed it to her. She shooked her head but he glared her.
Sid: Mein pooch nhi raha hu. Piyo isse chup chap
She quitely took the bottle from his hand and drank it. Sid waited for her to calm down.
Avu: So what are we now? I need to know the answer. I can't loose you as a friend also and if my feelings are the reason
She paused trying not to break down.
Avu: I promise I will suppress them
Sid closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He opened his eyes and looked at her.
Sid: Look Avni even I like you. I also have started feeling for you. I don't know how and when it started. I didn't even realize it ever. I don't know anything. But I think we should forget all this. It's wrong Avu
Avu: Why Sid? If you also like me then what is wrong? Why can't we be together?
Sid: See Avu I am your teacher and you are my student. That's a fact and we can't change and it's wrong between a student and teacher. Having these relationships is wrong. These feelings are also wrong. We can't. We should forget all this. It's nit correct
Avu: Par kyu?
Sid: Avu zidd matt karo. I thought I should not hide my feelings from you if you have told me yours. But that does not mean we can have anything else. It's wrong and we should forget it
Avu was listening to him quitely.
