Sid was looking at Avu. She came and sat on chair beside him.
Sid: (in mind) Kaise boloo? Should I even talk to her or let it be?
Avu: (in mind) Avu kuch to bol
Sid was staring on floor and Avu was looking here and there. Both were sitting in silence in their own dilemma.
Avu: Wo
Sid: Umm
Both tried to speak at at same time.
Sid: Umm wo good afternoon
Avu: A...a..afternoon
Sid: Wo actually
Avu: Ya?
Sid: Wo...let's begin
He said quickly picking up the book. Avu nodded. He was trying to teach he but both were kind of lost in their own thoughts. Avu finally gathered the courage.
Avu: Wo Sid
Sid: Hnn bolo Avu? Kuch problem hai? Samaj nhi aa rha?
Avu: Nhi wo nhi mujhe tumse kuch aur baat karni thi. Kuch important baat hai. Jo mein tumse karna chahti hu. I mean if you don't mind. Can we skip today's this lecture? It's something really important
Sid nodded and closed the book and kept it on table.
Sid: Okk. Actually mujhe bhi tumse ek bohot zaroori baat karnk hai
Avu: Hnn to bolo na
Sid: Wo darasl baat ye hai ki. Baat kuch aesi hai ki
Avu noticed his nervousness and kept her hand on his.
Avu: Are you ok? Tabiyat theek hai tumhari? Kya hua? Aesi kya baat karni hai ki tumhare paseene chhot rahe hai?
She said wiping sweat from his forehead with her finger and showing it to him. That's when he realized he was sweating all this while even when they were sitting in air conditioned room.
Avu: Ab kuch bologe bhi. Kya hua hai?
Sid: Wo actually
He closed his eyes tightly and shooked his head. He opened them and looked straight into her eyes. He held her hands in his. Avu was not understanding what's going on.
Sid: Baat aesi hai ki. Mujhe sirf itna kehna hai ki
He stopped wetted his lips with his tongue. Avu was continously looking at him eagerly waiting for him to talk. She rubbed his knuckles with her thumb.
Sid: Aesa karo pehle tum batao
Avu: Kya? Pagal ho kya? Itna time lgakar bhi tumhe himmat nhi aa rahi? Aesi konsi baat hai jo itna nervous ho rahe ho?
Sid: Tum batao na pehle. Fir mein bhi bata deta hu
Avu gave him a weird look.
Avu: Okk. Actually the thing is. Look Sid please don't break our friendship after this. I am requesting you. If you will consider my request or feelings as wrong, I promise I will never force you or have any kind of grudge against you. Please promise me you won't break our friendship after my this confession
Sid: Avi tumhe kya ho gya hai? Aesi baatein kyu kar rahi ho? Kya bolna hai tumhe
Avu: Pehle bolo nhi todoge na friendship?
Sid: Achha okk. Tum batao to sahi hua kya hai? You are scaring me now. Batao kya hua?
Avu: Actually Sid baat aesi hai ki. I don't know kab aur kaise hua ye. But I have started liking you. It's not just as a friend. I like you much more than that. If you....only if you don't have any problem can we move our friendship to relationship?
Sid's eyes widened. He jerked away her hands and stood up immediately. He was looking here and there. Avu gulped thinking he was angry and was going to break away their friendship.
