Lia's POV

Andito kami sa room, and kung katabi namin si Kris dati, ngayon doon na sya kay Naiah tumatabi, ewan ko sa lalaking yon kung nanliligaw na ba kay Naiah, napakatorpe.

It's history class already and si Mr. Constantino na yung prof namin. Pasimple kaming nagkatinginan apat bago pumasok si Mr. Constantino.

"Good Afternoon, class"

"Good Afternoon, sir" we greeted energetically

"Ok, so our topic will be the Monarch countries, mga bansa na pinapamunuan ng mga Reyna at Hari" sabi nya.

"Ay wala na kami agad recit. Hakot awards na sila Fonti, de Luca, at Lia" sabi ni Jerome, yung isa sa mga kaklase natin.

"Let's see" sabi ni Sir.

He started his lessons about monarch countries and some rules sa mga palasyo, I am amazed at how he really studied the palace's rules kahit na hindi naman sya historian, and he's also not a professor in profession. He's a barista that worked in Spain for 15 years, kaya naging resident sya ng Spain.

Napatingin kami lahat nang magtaas ng kamay si Francine at nagtanong.

"No offense sa inyo Prince and Lia, ah. Sir, among the Queen and Kings, sino po ba talaga yung mas deserving to rule a country? Kasi diba sa mga democratic country, anyone can be a President, how about sa mga Monarch countries? Does a King needs a Queen to be a King? And does a Queen needs a King to be a Queen?"

That's actually a good point.

Pansin ko ang pagtingin ni Sir William dito sa side namin at ang sikreto nyang pagngisi

"Again, no offense Lia and Jai. But, I think a King doesn't need a Queen to be an effective leader, but, a Queen needs a King to be an effective leader. Para sa akin, mas effective maging leader ang mga Hari. Hindi na nila kailangan ng mapapangasawa, pero ang mga magiging Reyna, kailangan nila mag-asawa ng isang Hari dahil hindi sila magiging effective leader if they don't have a King with them"

Literal na nawala ang ngiti ko, yung mukha ko wala ng emosyon, lalo pang nawalan.

Jai secretly hold my hand under the table

I raised my hand and stood up

"Not to argue, sir. But, why do you think a Queen needs a King to be effective to rule a country? Does the history says that Queens needs a King? Because if a future King doesn't need a Queen, I think it should be the same with the Queen not needing a King to rule a country, equality, right? Because you taught us to be equal to each other, no one is ahead, we are all human beings here. But, you seemed to be a bit biased" I said

"Because Kings are being trained in an army camp, am I right?"

"Yes, you are, but, just because a future Queen wasn't enlisted, does that mean the Queen won't be an effective leader? I mean, she can be trained in a different way, and if she is born a leader, meaning, she can lead whether it's a country or just a small group of people. I am not offended, I just want to hear your insights about it" I said and smiled.

"That's a good point, Lia. But, we all have our own opinion and insights to everything, right?"

"Yeah, I just want to open my insights, not as a member of a Royal Family, but, as a student" I said at umupo na.

"Mi amor, calm down"

"He's obviously getting on my nerves" I whispered.

"Kalma, let him have the limelight before we kill him, can you?"

"Fine" I said and calmed down.

After ng klase namin sa kanya, lumabas narin kaming apat para umuwi.

"Lia, baka na-offend ka sa tanong ko ah" Francine approached me while we're walking to the parking lot

"No, don't mind it. I'm not offended, you made a great point. We're good, don't worry" I said and smiled at her.

"Sure?"

"Yeah, sure" I said. "Sige, we'll go ahead" I added at nagpatuloy na kami sa paglalakad.

Jai wrapped his arm around my waist and I hugged onto him.

"Calm down, ok?" He said and I nodded.

I felt him kissed the top of my head, hanggang chin nya lang kasi ako eh, ganun sya katangkad. Matangkad din naman ako, pero mas matangkad sya.

I went straight to hug Daddy when we got home. Buhat buhat ni Jai yung bag ko.

"Hey, what's wrong? Are you ok?"

"What happened?" Tanong ni Mommy habang hinahagod yung likod ko. "Sweety, what happened to you?"

"William offended her by his bullshit belief about who to rule the country" Kris said

"I hate him! I will seriously kill him by my own hands! He will know who he is underestimating!" I said angrily

"Calm down, hunny. He will get what he deserve, ok? You have a plan, stick with it. We know you, Amelia. You'll be a great leader of Spain"

"Oo nga, hija. You can be a Queen without needing a King" sabi naman ni Tito Warren

"Dad! Wag naman, mamaya maisipan talaga nyan eh"

"Oh ano naman?"

"No, we'll get married after college. Wag niyo bigyan ng idea, Daddy naman eh, binibigyan pa ng idea eh" sabi ni Jai, nagmamaktol na parang bata

"I'm thinking about it rin po..." I said

"Mi amor, that's not a good joke"

"I'm not even joking" I said.

"Tss" he hissed and walked out. Nakarinig nalang kami ng malakas na pagsara ng pintuan.

"Ayan na, nagalit na tuloy si Jai"

"He didn't let me finish. I want to say I'm thinking about marriage after college with him" I said and pout
