In the eyes of a butterfly
The world may seem transparent
As apparent as the morning sky
Wandering at their hazy eyes

Dare to spread my wings
And experience all the things
Thousands in spring
Lingering what may seem fragile and fleeting

Shortlived but something to behold
Colors of smoke, old rose, and gold greatly unfold
Rarely, so rarely these fears I bare so deeply

And if my wings can no longer fly
I hope your memories of me won't die
I'd sing you songs, prose, and hymns just so you won't cry

And I would be knocking outside your window or find me under your pillow, cause life is a willow, I'll be your hero and your new home.
