I woke up with an unfamiliar white ceiling.

What happened? I can't remember anything. In the first place, who am I? No good, I can't really remember.

After looking in the ceiling for a few minutes of silence, I unconsciously stretched my hands, as if trying to reach the ceiling. 

I scrutinized my hands. There's a syringe? No, was it called a catheter? And currently, it looks like I'm in the process of a blood transfusion.

But my curiosity was ended when someone shouted.

"Governor, you're finally awake?! Anyone! Call the doctor immediately!." A man who looked like he was in his 40's shouted, which prompted me to look in his direction.

Governor? Who's governor? I am...? This is bad I can't really remember. However, I noticed something was off with the old man. There's a name tag on his head? It's a hologram or something? No, that's impossible. Did I get my head banged real hard to the point I'm hallucinating right now? Anyways, what it is?

Wait, it is some sort of game thingy? Can I perhaps level up or something? Do I have ability table like in game? And the word needed to say in order to manifest my ability table is something like "Status open."

I felt like I had become an idiot for some reason. I muttered those kind of words a few more times until I finally noticed the old man, called Nathan, who was staring at me awkwardly.

"Did you... Are you alright, Governor?." This old man looks complicated at me, as if he swallowed something bitter.

This is embarrassing!!!! I screamed internally upon learning that someone heard me chanting weird ass words like a weirdo. He must thinking I am some sort of creep due to my idiotic chants.

"Y-yes governor, did you feel something wrong?." I called out his name by referencing the name tag on his head. And it looks like his name is indeed Nathan. It's very convenient.

"Forget anything happens here. Do you hear me?"

"Umm...yes." Upon his reply, something changed in his status.

Uncertain of what? What's this polygraph assessment anyway? It's quite an alien word to me. But it reacted the moment I asked him to forget everything. Let's check it once again.

Now, he is confused, I think I finally get it. It is some sort of mental assessment ability? It's pretty useful, to be honest. I might even be able to tell whether they are lying or not. This is also useful for intelligence gathering or outsmarting enemies. What a nice ability I have.

"The doctor is here governor." Nathan called me out, who was in the depths of thinking about my newfound abilities.

The doctor looked at me and began to check me up. We ended our session a few minutes later, and he suggested that I should take a few more health scans to ensure my well-being. Then If there's nothing complicated happening in my body, the doctor said I'm good to go.
