Chapter 20

Peters POV:
When I woke up this morning I felt Mj's presence gone. I rubbed my eyes and saw her sitting at my desk. I yawned. "Heya" she said. "Morning" I said with a chuckle. I got up and kissed her head. "I'll be back" I said. "Ok" she said smiling. I then went to the toilet and brushed my teeth. I spilled toothpaste on my shirt, I quickly changed into jeans and another t-shirt before returning back to my room.

Going back into my room I saw Mj typing on her computer. I put my hands on her shoulders. "Whatcha doing?" I asked her. "Sending an email back to Mr Harrington" she replied. "About?" I asked curious. "Decathlon trip" she said. "Oh yeah. We doing it then?" I asked interested. "Yup. And I'm really excited. Oh he just emailed me back" she said.
"Teams are:
Round 1-  Abraham, Ned, josh
Round 2- Lily, Cindy, me
Round 3- Mille, David, Oscar
Round 4- Gwen, you, Emmy" she finished talking but her smile faded. "You okay?" I asked spinning the chair round so she could face me. "Yeah...just bummed I'm not in your group" she said with a weak smile. "It's fine. You'll do great" I said putting a thumbs up to her. She chuckled. "C'mon go get ready. I'll text the group" I said helping her up. She then took some clothes and walked out the bedroom.

I picked up her phone and messaged the group.

Me from Mj's phone:
Hey guys Peter here, there's an upcoming decathlon competition and think we are all ready. Mj's been talking to Mr Harrington and they are discussing teams for each round and final details. Will know more tomorrow! Make sure everyone can make it!! 👍

Are we going to pick our own teams?

Me:
Teams are already done ✅

Millie:

Gwen:
Hey Peter, sound great ❤️

Emmy:

Lily:
YAYY!! Finally another comp 👍

Gwen:
What ned

Josh:
Yeah sound good 👍. What time will decathlon go on for??

Me:
Depends how much time we need

Ned🫶🏼:
The heart??

Josh:
Alr 👍 May have to leave early if that's ok

Gwen:
None of your business

Me:
Yeah that's fine josh 👌

I then put her phone down as she walked into the room. "Hey" she said. "Heya just messaged the group" I said passing her her phone. "Oh great" she said.

Mj's POV:
As I took my phone I checked what Peter had said. While reading I noticed Gwen had put a red heart in response of peters text. It gave me a weird feeling but brushed it off quickly. I then got a message from Betty:
