I woke up this morning to another nightmare, but the stress of it was immediately washed away and replaced with elation. I smile widely to myself. I've never been so excited for my birthday before. Even though it's my big two-one, my fake ID claims that as my age already. I've gone clubbing and drinking and bar hopping too. It's nothing I really enjoy; although, I do love to go out and dance. But it's not my new age that excites me, it's the boys. They're so serious about celebrating with me, I can't help but join in on their hype.

Eventually, I crawl out of my warm bed and clean myself up. I don't wash my hair since Gabriel plans on doing it later. I put on a simple outfit; I don't have any plans other than Phil and Uncle's visit in a few hours. I indulge myself today for breakfast by making my favorite: chocolate chip pancakes! I add a side of fruit, sausage, and eggs for a full meal. When I go to indulge in the sugary goodness, there's a knock on my door. I groan at the disruption of my heavenly meal. I check the peephole and swing open the door.

"How'd you know I was awake, and what smells so good?" I question.

"Well good morning to you too, Sweet Treat. I come bearing gifts of course." Marc gives me a panty-dropping smile.

"I was about to have breakfast, have you had anything to eat? I have more than enough to share."

"First, here's your 'Marciccuno' as you put it." He hands me an iced mocha, and I hum in delight. I prefer to call him my Marciccuno, but I love how he named my coffee order the same. "Second, I would love to join you."

I lead us back into the kitchen and make him a plate before returning to mine. "How'd you know I was up," I repeat.

"Axel and Brandon mentioned that they saw you in the gym in the early mornings. I took an educated guess that you probably weren't working out today and wanted to grace you with the best coffee around. I'm glad I did too because you're eating breakfast alone."

I give him a wide grin, "Thank you for the coffee and the company. I hope you like chocolate chip pancakes." Digging in, I let out a small moan after my first bite and Marc smirks with amusement. I blush a little at my embarrassing display.

"Happy Birthday, Sang. Are you looking forward to tonight's shenanigans?"

"Thank you! And yes, I am! I can't remember where we're going for dinner, what was it again?"

"That won't work on me, Miss Photographic! Gabriel would kill me if I spoiled a birthday surprise."

I pout and bat my eyelashes. He shakes his head, "Nope. Not happening."

I giggle, "Thank you again for visiting this morning. You didn't have to come over, and I really appreciate it."

"Any excuse to spend time with you, Sweet Treat," he winks. "Your pancakes are incredible by the way. What did you add to them?"

"I add cinnamon to the batter, but I also pan fry them with sugar. I don't like syrup and the sugar adds a bit of texture to the pancake."

"Luke would froth at the mouth if you ever made these for him. Not only are they chocolate chip, his favorite, but crusted with sugar too. I'm surprised he didn't show up on his own. I swear he can smell sugar a mile away."

I laugh. "Just don't say his name two more times, or you might really summon him."

He takes on a dramatic tone, "Luke! Oh, Luke! Where art thou when there lies sugar?"
