Enemy

The rain was pouring down, hard. In the forest Poppy was running trying to find Branch.

"FROND! FROND! WHERE ARE YOU!"
Poppy shouted at the top of her lungs.

That's when she was grabbed by something and pulled her up into a tall tree.

"Branchie its YOU!"
Poppy said and hugged Branch.

"Stop! Stop. I need to talk to you, now that we are alone 😏😏😏."
Branch said flirty to Poppy.

"Branch this is not the time for that! Maddie, Trollex, D, and Hickory are missing! And we need your help!"
Poppy shouted to him back.

"Pfft. Why do we need them, instead of us?"
Branch said giving a wink 😉 to Poppy.

"Tell me you did not say, let's just ditch them?"
Poppy said crying a little.

"That's exactly, what I meant. That's why I love about you. You understand everything! Poppy was it?"
Branch said back touching Poppy's cheek. But only this made Poppy sadder.

"You...don't....know...my name?"
Poppy said slowly trying to hold back her tears. 😢

"Umm why would I-"
Branch tried to say something.

"Let it Go!!! This isn't you! I never wanted a Frond, I wanted a Branch, that's all I want! What happened to you?"
Poppy yelled back and shoved Branch of the tree and ran away from him. As far as she can.

That's when Barb (who was chasing Poppy) heard a sob, coming from the beach. By the time she got there,  the rain stopped. And she saw an upset Poppy near the ocean.

"Umm. Pop-Squeak?"
Barb said softly.

"I just wanna be alone for a while. Okay."
Poppy said sadly, and Barb left her for her alone time. But she kept a close eye on her.

As for Branch, he thought about what Poppy said to him. About not being a Frond and more of a Branch.
He climbed back on the tree and made a small ukulele. He didn't know why he made it, it just felt right. He strummed the strings and made a melody, sooner or later he started to sing.
