Abigail couldn't really remember anything about him as soon as Linda asked her on Saturday morning. She had hoped that Linda would have said no and wanted to spend time alone with her niece, but Linda has never been that kind of person. She was always very inviting and loved to have everyone join the fun.

Linda didn't say it to Abigail, but she loved that she finally found someone as easy going as Linda was. Abigail needed that. Distracting her.

"He's kind of handsome." Linda smirks at her but Abigail simply rolls her eyes. "Dark hair, pretty big guy actually."

She starts to think back to lunch and tries to remember who were with him but she could only remember his golden eyes and the smile.

"No last name?" Abigail looks at her aunt.

"Cullen?" Linda's eyes widen in delight.

"Have you seen his father?" Linda shakes her head as Abigail looks at her with a frown. "He's the talk of the town ever since he came to work in the hospital. Apparently he's gorgeous. He and his wife adopted like six kids. Word is she can't bear children." Linda sits down next to her. "You are allowed to call it off."

Abigail sighs deeply and shakes her head. "We said no no." Linda smiles and pats her niece on the back.

"That's the spirit. Let's go," she hoists a bag on her shoulder as they walk outside of cottage. "He'll be at the meeting point soon enough and seeing as you are a serious slow-.."

"Hey!" Abigail interjects and Linda just gestures towards the woods with her head. "Yes yes, I'm coming."

It turned out that Emmett was already waiting for them at the meeting spot. He was wearing full climbing gear and seemed eager to get started, until he saw Abigail that is.

"You're not really wearing climbing clothes." He says and Linda starts to laugh.

"I like you already," she says with a smile and takes a step forward, holding out her hand. "I'm Linda."

"The infamous great cook." Emmett replies with just a big a smile. Linda nods. "I'm Emmett."

"So I've heard." He looks past her towards Abigail and Linda turns around. "Right, she's not really feeling up to it today but we both felt bad if we let you down so how about we make a bet, if I win I get to taste the amazing cooking of your mom too."

"And if I win?"

"I'll cook for you." He starts to laugh.

"A win win." They walk towards the large wall of rocks they were going to climb and both Emmett and Linda made sure that their gear was good and up to date, helping the other with tightening things while Abigail took a seat underneath some trees to make sure that she could see them if they went up far enough.

"Abby?" She looks up at her aunt's voice who walks closer to her while Emmett waits patiently behind her. "Give us a shout if you need anything alright?" She nods and Linda gives the young woman a kiss on the head before joing Emmett. "Ready to be ass kicked?" Emmett's smile grows bigger.

"I'm ready to do the ass kicking alright."

The two of them had set their goal and Abigail couldn't help but notice how Emmett - with such a large builded body - moved with such grace. Either he had done this a thousand times or he just moved that way. Meanwhile Linda was starting to lose as he was way ahead of her but she didn't seem to mind and just went at her own pace, probably humming some song.

Abigail grabs her notebook and looks around her, trying to captivate everything that she was seeing, feeling and hearing with words. It wasn't easy, but she tried to do something like that every day. Something like a dairy.

It seemed like ages had gone by and when Abigail looked up, Linda was actually in the lead and close to their goal. She probably really wanted to taste Emmett's mother's cooking. She had a knack for loving incredible food.

"You're better than I thought." Emmett says a little out of breath as they had finally reached the ground and Abigail had made her way towards them.

"I'm not as fragile as I look." Linda replies with a big smile. "This one however.." she wraps an arm around her niece and kisses her head affectionately. "She sometimes is." Abigail rolls her eyes but a smile makes its way unto her lips at Emmett's next words.

"Duly noted." He looks at his watch and back towards them. "Five a good time for you two?" Abigail looks at her own watch. It was half past three. That would give them enough time to go back, clean up and make their way to dinner. She nods slowly and as she looks up, Emmett hands her a note with - presumably - his adress and number on it. "See you then." He throws them a big smile once more before Linda walks up to him and hugs the boy. "Alright then." He laughs and walks over to Abigail, giving her a hug as well. Abigail couldn't help but feel his big muscles and yet she felt completely at ease around the huge young man. He lets go of her and waves at the two before making his way somewhere.

"He's nice." Linda smiles at Abigail who simply rolls her eyes. "Easy to talk to. Seems like a good guy."

"What, you interrogated him when you were up there?" Linda shrugs and pulls the bag on her shoulders before smiling and pulling Abigail along.

"Something like that."
