What I really wanted to hear was,
"You don't need people who constantly lie to you and betray you. Save your kindness for yourself."
What I heard was,
"You're so gullible."
"You're too kind"
"You trust so easily."
"It's your fault for letting your guard down."
As if it's alright to lead people on and lie to them. As if it was my fault, that I had trusted a person. That I constantly believe(d) in humanity. As if the other person was free of charges.
All the blame for my pain was on me, even though I only loved.
