A/N:

So I did not mean to post that last chapter since it was only half done and I only realised that I had published it a second ago but its too late to change it now so I'll just continue it here 😅👍

Chongyun POV:

I let him wake up fully before speaking,

"Xingqiu, how would you feel about going down to Mondstadt?" I asked,

"Why?"

"To visit Bennett and Razor.. I just was thinking about how we haven't seen them in a long time so maybe it would be nice to pay them a visit?"

"Yeah it does sound like a good idea, but we will have to go on a bus all the way to Mondstadt!" He complained, he didn't like long drives,

"Oh come on it isn't that far!" I smiled,

"Alright then, shall we go now?"

"Ok!"

With that we got up and on the bus, the drive was only about 25 minutes and when we got there the weather was amazing, I read somewhere that it never rains inside the city gates of Mondstadt, but that may not be true,

I went to Bennett's house hoping I got the right one, I had only been there a few times and I still wasn't 100% sure of the directions,

I knocked on the door hoping it wouldn't be a random stranger who answered and to my relief it was Bennett,

"Chongyun? What are you doing here?" He asked, gesturing for us to come inside,

"Well we thought we would pay you a visit since we kind of just dissapeared yesterday and we haven't been able to hang out in ages." I responded,

"Well I'm happy to see you! And I'm sure Razor will be too, he really misses you guys!"

Bennett went to get Razor from his room and the second Razor looked at us his face lit up,

"I miss You so much!" He exclaimed as he hugged us both enthusiastically,

"We missed you to." Xingqiu laughed as we hugged back,

We all decided to go to the good hunter and get some food, on the way there Razor was telling us all about how much he had missed us and waving his arms excitedly,

He was like a little kid, but that's one of the reasons we all love him so much,

Bennett had been strangely quiet today and he seemed to be staring at Xingqiu,

I wasn't sure why but maybe it was just because he missed us.

After we finished eating at the good hunter we started heading towards wolvendom but on the way we bumped into Diluc, Bennetts uncle,

"Bennett? Where are you going? Especially with Chongyun, I thought you were still injured." He speculated,

"Well I'm not all that hurt anymore it's just the school he'll is really painful.. so.." I responded nervously,

"Ah, I see, well wherever you're going be careful, we wouldn't want anyone to get hurt, especially with all the fatui out there at the minute." He warned,

"Uh- excuse me fatui?" Bennett questioned,

"Yes, the fatui have been everywhere lately, it's said they are trying to cause distractions considering how close the police are to catching the balladeer."

Bennett seemed to freeze up,

"Wait does that mean the balladeer is in Mondstat?!" He shivered,

"No, well maybe. We don't know." Diluc responded,

"Who is bal.. eder..?" Razor asked, struggling with the name,

"One of the fatui harbingers, scaramouche." Diluc spoke ominously,

"Sca...ra...moosh..." he tried,

"He's dangerous that'd all that matters." Diluc sighed, patting Razors head,

"Well... we were going to wolvendom.. Will we be safe there?" Bennett asked,

"You should be. Remember if you see the balladeer run straight away and come tell us ok?"

Bennett nodded and we all waved Diluc off before continuing our journey,

We turned out to be fine and had a nice time in wolvendom, and soon it started to get dark so we all went back, we waved goodbye to Bennett and Razor before getting on the bus and leaving,

When we got home Xingqiu flopped onto the bed straight away, that was probably the longest he'd spent being social in ages,

"How are you feeling?" I asked as I took off my hoodie,

"I'm alright, just tired, we should go to bed." He muttered, not lifting his face off of the duvet,

I smiled and agreed before climbing into bed and cuddling in with him,

Things were starting to get better now, much better.

Sorry that took so long I was experiencing the most writers block I'd ever experienced in my life :)
