Chapter Four

"Welcome family and friends. We are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the marriage of Mr Joe Anderson and Miss Vera Walter. This is not the beginning of a new relationship but an acknowledgment of the next chapter in their lives together. Joe and Vera have spent years getting to know each other, and we now bear witness to what their relationship has become. Today, they will affirm this bond formally and publicly." The officiating minister said.

"Let the groom come in." The officiating minister said while Joe walked in with his brother Richard behind him as the best man.

Soft tune played on the piano as they made their way through the aisle to the front with the whole of the groom's men standing behind him. The groom's men were Chris, Ademide, Austin, Liam and some of the male staffs from A.J law firm. Joe stood in front with an anxious expression. He was waiting for his bride to come in.

"Let the bride come in." The officiating minister said while Vera made her way to the entrance with all the bridal train standing behind her.  Her Vail was covering her face while she held her cream and maroon banquet tightly. She was also nervous as she made her way in. Although it was not her first time getting married but it felt so different. Joe also felt the same way although it wasn't his first of time getting married either.

Vera made her way into the hall looking all elegant. She took one step after the other. The light shined brightly as she moved while Bella, Raquel, Joanna, Natalie, Luciana, Nadia, Lilian, Bianca, Tatiana and Alexia followed behind her looking all beautiful.

Tears started rolling down Joe's cheek as his bride walked down the aisle. He was beyond happy to be getting married to her. Seeing Joe's reaction, Austin could not help but remember the day he also married the love of his life. He was beyond happy. He subconsciously locked eyes with his wife. Bianca was also thinking about the day she got married that subconsciously looked at her husband. The couple smiled at eachother knowing fully well that they were both thinking about the day they got married.

Chris on the other hand was thinking about the day he'd be the luckiest man on earth to marry Bella. He couldn't help but smile at the thought.

The twins acted like the father of the bride because they decided to walk their mum down the aisle. They  both held Vera's hands on each side.

Vera looked at her husband with a loving expression as soon as she stood in front of him. Joe on the other hand was trying really hard to control his tears. Richard handed him a white handkerchief to wipe his tears before the officiating minister proceeds.

"Should anyone present know of any reason that this couple should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace" The minister said looking at the guests but there was no one so he said it again the second time.

"Should anyone present know of any reason that this couple should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace" There was still no response from the guests so he proceeded.

"For the last time, Should anyone present know of any reason that this couple should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace" He said and there was no response from the guests so he faced the guests.

"Guests please stand." The officiating minister said while everyone obliged.

"Our bride and groom have asked all present to take vows as well to pledge your support and love for them as they embark on this new path together. After I’ve spoken these vows, please answer with "we do." The minister said while everyone nodded.

"Everyone gathered here today, before you stand two people who love you very much. Do you promise to encourage and inspire their dreams, to accept them not only as individuals but as a couple, to be their friends, and to give your support today and every day to follow?" The officiating minister asked the audience.
