Athena's POV
Im here sitting at my office chair, busy with the fucking paperworks. Ni wala akong nakitang proposal na okay! I really wanted to strip this papers off.
I sighed looking at the papers, and immediately crumpled it and shoot it in the garbage bin na agad din namang nasunog. Kinuha ko ang cellphone ko sa pouch ko at agad na dinial ang number ng Lolo dad ko.
"Hello there, iha? How's work?" Napangiti agad ako.
"Do you want an honest answer or a lie?" I asked back. Rinig ko naman ang halakhak ni Lolo. Lolo dad, is the owner of this company I'm at right now. He's 65 years already and is still alive and kicking asse's off.
"Let me think first iha. Hmmmm. Okay, I've decided. I want an honest answer, it wouldn't give me a heart attack right?" Ako naman ngayon ang natawa. Even though Lolo is old, he's as bubbly and energetic like the first time I saw him. Like the first time he adopted me. Yeah, he adopted me.
"Ahm. I wouldn't have given you an option to choose, lo if you will have a heart attack with my very honest answer." He laughed again. I'm really his happiness.
"Okay, iha. Now tell me. Your old man is listening to your honest answer, apo." Diniinan niya pa ang word na honest.
"Okay lo, I'm pregnant." I said.
"What the fuck, Athena Chrysta! Who's the fucking father. Putong-inay niya kamo!" Sigaw ni Lolo. Humagalpak ako ng tawa, alam kong ganyan ang reaction niya so.
"Lo, wrong na naman po yung tagalog niyo. Grabe 5 years na kitang tinuturuan, bulol ka pa rin!" Tudyo ko sa kanya. Agad namang sinundan ng tawa ni Lolo ang tawa ko.
"I'm sorry, iha. You almost give me a freaking heart attack. Matatay ko sa iyo ng maga." Mas lalo akong natawa.
"Lolo, your really not a fast learner. I suggest that you shouldn't speak tagalog. It would turn out really bad, even if you tried your best." Humagikgik naman si Lolo sa sinabi ko. I smiled. This man saved me, when I was about to end my life. Utang ko sa kanya ang buhay na mayroon ako ngayon.
"Okay, sirit na si Lolo. So, how's your day, apo. Tell your old man." He asked again.
"Actually, not really great." Napasimangot pa ako, "Lo, Ambobo po talaga ng mga nagpapasa ng proposal sa inyo!" I sighed frustratedly na ikinatawa lang ni Lolo. "Nakakaubos ng pasensya! I crumpled the useless proposal ang let the trash bin burn the papers." He gasped. I do know why, I smirked.
"How did that happen? Thena! " Nilayo ko agad ang cellphone ko sa tenga ko ng sumigaw si Lolo. Yeah, pag tinatamad siyang banggitin ang A sa pangalan ko ganyan ang sinasabi niya "You brought another invention in the office? Iha, you already changed almost everything there. You changed the doors, the fuck, you even installed a passcode so that no one would come and open my office immediately; you even made the glasses bulletproof; you turned my table to a bed; you even demanded your agents to be my bodyguard; and now. You got me a trash bin that burns the papers?" Napatawa ako habang naglilitanya si Lolo, talagang inenumerate pa niya ang lahat ng ginawa ko sa opisina niya. I just wanted him to be safe, he's all I have.
"Thena iha, alam ko namang may-ari ka ng technological company. Pero, iha, wala naman akong kalaban na gagawa ng kung ano-ano sa akin at mas lalong hindi ko kailangan ng security guards. You're babying me too much." Reklamo pa nito.
"Mali po ba yun, lo? You're all I have. I don't want anyone to hurt you. Ayaw kong mawala ka pa sa akin." I said. Maybe you're wondering why? But my family- my family betrayed me. Basta.
"Okay, iha. Sige. Pero sana last na to ha. Masyado ng secured ang office ko." He surrendered.
"Yes lo. And lo, please hurry up. Go home na. I want to go back to my work! Pagod na ako dito sa office niyo. Amboring!" Nagpapapadyak pa ako. He laughed.
"Okay, iha. Last nalang mana ngayon. Then, I'll hurry back home. Saka, pupunta ang kumpare ko sa Pilipinas and maybe they'll stay for good." Napasimangot ako. Kainis naman si Lolo. Oh? Tapos?
"I don't really care, lo. Bye na p-"
"Wait iha, may ipapakilala ako sa iyo, pag-uwi nila." Napataas ako ng kilay. Sino? Hay nako. Kung sino-sino nalang ang pinag-rerereto sa akin.
"Ewan ko sayo lo, I'm not interested anymore. Cge na po. Gotta burn some more stupid papers. bye! Love you!" Then I pressed end.
Dahil nabwi-bwisit na ako sa opisina, I decided to walk out and stroll for a while.
