"And bathtime?"

Claire stood up straight and looked up at Kendall... whom looked very fake-happy
"We'll be seeing you in a few weeks then" she said quickly through almost gritted teeth. Like she was forcing a smile
"Yes, thank you again. We're just so worried about Eleanor and how her family is" Claire sighed softly
"Yes, I get it. Goodbye now. Safe flight."
When they got in the cab to go to the airport, Claire looked at Harry and frowned a little
"did she seem.. mad to you, babe?"

"Why? Did I say something?"
"No, she's just jealous. Anytime she leaves Delilah with us, she gets a quick hug and a goodbye mom then delilah goes running around the house.. But with you, Delilah just cried her eyes out, asked you not to go, asked to stay with you, and called you mom infront of her real mom" he explained
Claire's frown dropped to shock and she felt terrible
"I- I didn't, I didn't even think about that. Wow, I feel so bad. I mean, Kendall has everything! She has no reason to be jealous.. I get it, I guess, I just, I mean,... I feel bad" she stuttered and rambled because she wanted to cry again
"It's fine. She shouldn't be jealous, she should be happy. she knows Delilah loves her because she's the birthmom. She should be happy that Dee has a great step mom"
"Step mom?" Claire asked slowly, "But.. we're not married"
"One day, honey, we will be" Harry whispered before gently pecking Claire's lips. "I promise" he added quietly
