Hey! I'm Lauren, and I'm 17. I lived in Florida with my parents for the entire life, its my home. But things changed before i could even blink an eye.

My dad packed up and left a week before my 17th birthday. Since then my mom and i have been alone, and definitely struggling.

But recently my mom got a job offer and decided its best if she took. Since my dad left a year ago, things looked awful but we finally have a breakthrough!

The only shit part is...I'm the one who has to suffer. 17 years of building my life is tossed down the drain.

Don't get me wrong! I'm totally happy for her...but I'm miserable on my behalf.

Do you have any idea what it's like to have your whole life finally going great and then it's just shaken apart again. My life in Florida was...amazing!

I was cheer captain, I had book smarts too and everybody loved me. I wasn't even a bitchy popular girl. I had a huge group of friends who were more like family.

The worse part is leaving Noah. My boy friend in Florida. We'd been dating for a couple months, I didn't love him but I was sad that we broke up anyways.

You wouldn't believe where my mom and i are relocating too anyways! Take a quick guess. Omaha, Nebraska.

Where the fuck is Omaha Nebraska?

Hey I'm Jack Johnson, and I'm 17, lots of people call me JJ though.

I make music with my friend Jack Gilinsky, yeah we have the same name which is pretty confusing at times. So we met in kindergarten, same name, same shirt. It was fate.

I go to Norwood High School and I'm a Junior this year.

Jack and I were close to making it big with our singing career recently taking off. I couldn't believe how many fans we have but we're only 17. Its crazy.

"Yo JJ!" Jack said as we chilled outside his house, shooting hoops. "You need a girl like big time!"

I laughed. "Nah i don't play that shit."

Our friend, Nash Grier threw the ball at my face but i dodged it.

"Seriously bro? Arent you like totally sex-deprived?" Nash and Jack burst out laughing at my lack of relationship.

Everyone at school knows that I'm just not the guy who dates. A lot of girls are interested and have asked me out on date, which always ended in me having to hurt their feelings. I haven't been with a girl for the past three years.

"Whoever changes this hard soul deserves an award!" Jack laughed. Inside, I agreed with him because I'm a difficult guy to please.

"She'll have to be pretty special." I mumbled to myself.

*2 days later*

I finally got settled into the new house mom had bought. It wasn't huge or anything but i didnt mind. I unpacked most of my clothing, books, and other items from my old room back home.

I missed Florida so much and promised my friends that i would skype them as frequently as possible.

I headed downstairs to get something to eat.

Butterflies erupted in my stomach as i realized, tomorrow is my first day at my new school - Norwood High School, and I'm starting as a junior this year.

I'm almost done with school so that's an upside i guess. Who knows what Norwood High has to offer?

I flipped through my phone and started texting Noah, although we're broken up we're still friends. That's how I knew I didn't love him, you can't be friends with someone you dated...unless you didn't really love the person.

I didn't want to mention this...but I hoped I could meet someone who would make me believe in realloveagain.

Maybe there would be...
