SHE WAS MADE OF ancient magic. The dark kind that had been inbred and sowed into her bones, causing black nettles of abuse and hatred grow. Juniper Coldwell was bred for murder and raised to be something evil, she was supposed to follow her recent lineage into a path of demise and destruction.
Ancient magic was a perilous thing, and those who were chosen to carry it were merely empty vessels which were big enough to hold and conserver that power. It was an unfortunate ( or fortunate, depends on who you ask ) thing that Juniper was chosen. She had the power to wage a thousand wars and drain out the seven seas. She was spindled from the lace of sinners and stardust. Juniper Coldwell could have been a goddess ━ it was a damn shame that she was such a wreck.
