I was to shaky to be driving so I started walking, I mean the hospital was only a five minute walk away. I pulled on my shoes since I had no time inside to and walked. I realized I had to walk through the west side of town to get to the hospital. I stopped for a minute, I pushed the flash backs down, and walked forward. I was walking at a fast pace, hoping nothing would happen. But, like every good person knows, something always gets in the way, “What's the hurry darling,” I heard a voice call out. I turned around fast and hit a chest. I fell backwards but the person grabbed me before I hit the ground. My heart was racing and I kept my eyes closed. Please, this can't be happening right now, I have to get back to Josh. That is all I care about right now. The person brushed hair away from my face, “can't get enough of me can you princess,” Tyler said in her ear.
I felt fear take over my body at the sound of his voice. But as soon as I remembered what he did to Josh, my anger took over. I pushed him back, “What the hell is wrong with you?” I screamed at him. He looked a little shocked that I spoke up, “Angry little thing are we?” he said with a smirk, he was only a foot away from me. “You have no right to do this, your deal was with me, not Josh. You fucking stabbed him,” I was holding back tears, but still angry. He smirked again, “He attacked me, it was his choice. I mean if he wants to protect his whore of a girlfriend then props to him,” his comment set me off. “I am not a whore, you freaking got me wasted and the raped me.... You knew josh would come after you, but stabbing him---” I was cut off, “You have proof sweetheart, you didn't go to the police, now did you. And as for your boyfriend, he got what he deserved,” He said with his hand in his pockets. I pushed him again, “How could you be so damn heartless?” I shout. Then Tyler grabs my hair and spins me around so my back is to his chest. He pulls out his knife and holds it to my neck.
My breath caught in my throat and I dropped my stuff. “Now, do you want to keep talking back princess,” he said in my ear. Of all the fucking times this could happen it was now, Of course I wasn't focused on the situation at hand, I my mind was floating to Josh. My phone rang, Tyler took it out of my pocket and looked, he smirked, “Looks like your brother is worried,” He threw my phone and it landed and smashed in pieces on the road. He turned to me, “now why do you go messing everything up sweetheart, if you would of kept your bet, this would be over already,” he said cleaning his blade on his shirt. The blade still had blood on it, I assume it was from Josh, “You got your end of the bet already Tyler. This is going way to far now,” I boldly said, I wish I didn't though. He stepped toward me.
Without thinking I kicked my shoes off, thank god I had slip on shoes on. I kicked it at him. Then I ran for my life toward the hospital. He was on my trail, but I used to run track so I was fast, but he was on the football team for his school, he was just as fast. The hospital came in view, I had hope that I would make it, but as soon as I went to push the door open, Tyler pinned me to the wall, “That was the biggest mistake of your life,” he said. I kicked him where the sun doesn’t shine and he fell to the ground. I ran inside out of breath. Ignoring the stares people were giving me I ran up the stairs to the waiting room my Josh's room. Zac stood up and looked at me, but before he said anything I jumped in his arms and hugged him.
“Morgan, calm down. What happened?” he said looking at my face, which was bright red from running. I was trying to catch my breath, but I couldn't. Mrs. Johnson walked over, “Morgan sweetie are you alright,” she asked with concern. I managed to slow my breathing. There was no way I was going to let them get hurt, I knew Tyler would come in here at some point, “Nothing I am fine, why don't you two go home and get some rest,” I suggested. “Morgan, it's alright I can stay---” I cut Mrs. Johnson off, “No, please I insist, you have been here two days. You need a break too.” I smiled. She nodded and hugged me before leaving. Zac looked at me, “Are you sure you will be alright by yourself?” he asked. I nodded, “Alright, I will be back tonight though,” He said hugging me then leaving.
I sat down on the chair and relaxed a second. I decided to go into Josh's room, well I guess sneak in since I wasn't supposed to go in. I slipped in the door and closed it. I turned, Josh had a new wrap around his stomach, and and IV hooked to his left arm. I walked over and sat on his bed. “God you look like hell,” I laughed holding back tears, “I'm talking to myself,” I said knowing he couldn't hear me most likely. I took hold oh his hand and rubbed circles with my thumbs, “I thought about this for awhile... I-i just can't keep hurting you, so I am going to leave..... Why am I even talking, you can't hear me... damn, I should of just stayed with Tyler tonight, anything to keep him away from here when you are, i'm such a idiot.” I whispered to myself.
I bent down and kissed his cheek, “I love you Josh,” And with that I got up. I walked to the door, turned and looked at him one more time then I left. I walked down the hall, holding back tears. I walked out of the hospital. As soon as I got to the parking lot Tyler pinned me to the wall, “Aw, you look like you just became a little heart breaker sweetheart,” He smirked. He had his body pushed to mine, but I wasn't fighting it anymore, I had no more fight left in me. He touched my face with his hand, “you're no fun without a fight,” He said then slapped me. I just took it, what was the point anymore, I had nothing. I looked down at the ground, “Look at me,” He said. I didn't look up. He pulled away mad, then punched me in the stomach and I feel to the ground. He bent down next to me, “Listening problems,” he grabbed my hair and made me look at him, “Running was your first mistake, not listening was your second,” He said getting up pull me by the hair so was up as well. I felt sick, the hit to my stomach I was sure broke something, it was hard to breath.
