Part 43: Running and Darting

Bianca's POV

So... Zeus. The King of the Gods, looking livid. Like your mom when she figured out you broke her antique urn, or didn't brush your teeth. But like 10x as bad.

Normally, Zeus would have killed us, or at least given a speech. But instead, his eyes glazed over and turned a misty blue, just like Artemis's. He spoke in Artemis's voice to.

"Run... I... can't hold... him... much longer." She gasped out of Zeus's mouth.

We looked at each other hastily. Zoe gave the nod. She is and was technically our designated leader. 

We ran, and ran. Of course Zeus could follow us, but why wasn't he? Maybe some gift of Artemis, and she was risking a lot. Her reputation could get tarnished.

We ran and took cover behind what looked like an old, but elegant shrine. It was beautiful, with aquamarine gems. I felt an aura from this place.

Charlie sent up a whispered prayer. "Thank you, Poseidon." He said.

We ducked out of sight, until the coast was clear.  When it was, we darted past nymphs and people strolling about, going behind trees, following Zoe's lead.

I could see the love and admiration in RJ's eyes shining bright. Zoe is amazing, just like our mom.

We finally reached what appeared to be the castle of Hera, after who knows how long of walking and darting.  

The castle seemed very alive, with peacock feathers moving in the wind. A bright pale pink lit up the royal white cathedral, which... was the palace? I guess.

Zoe beckoned us all towards her. "Alright, we need a game plan. How are we gonna get in there?"

And being a legacy of Athena, a spark buzzed in my brain. I raised my hand. "I do, and I think it might just work."
