14. Carson Dale

Fuck me. Last night I was able to get everything out of Daniel and what I got wasn't good. If he is talking about who I think he is then mine and Luci's relationship or whatever we have is over.

Carson Dale. My ex from high school was now in the picture. My father said that once he saw the insta post he immediately dialed Carson and told him to get me away from Luci. I can't let them get to the house. I have to go before he finds them. Carson is crazy.

So this morning I made my escape. I packed a small bag with a few outfits in them and I ran. I ran far away from the Rossi's as possible. If Carson wants to find me he will. I cannot let that place be the Rossi home.

No doubt that Luciano and his men would keep themselves safe at all but I don't think I could ever live with the thought I caused a uproar. It's not even that deep to involve Carson.

But apparently my parents think so. So my happiness is being placed on hold for the time being until I can get my hands on Carson Dale and kill him with my bare hands.

Mark my words, Carson Dale I'm on your ass.

"Hey Cass. I need a favor."

LUCIANO

Waking up to an empty bed was something I did not expect this morning but clearly my expectations are a bit off. Getting up I assumed she was just downstairs somewhere so I didn't worry my brain about it.

After I brushed my teeth, washed my face did all the necessities I made my way downstairs to see Will, Lena, Matteo, Angelo, and Momma. Everyone but Serenity.

"Where's Serenity?" I ask coming to sit next to Matteo.

Everyone paused. The look on Angelo's face was like he had seen a ghost. I raise an eyebrow at him. "What is it? Where is she?"

"W-We thought she was still asleep with you!" Lena exclaimed now standing.

Fuck no.

"What do you mean. She was gone when I woke up this morning." I told them.

Momma covered her mouth as she broke out into sobs. Matteo quickly pulled her into his side comforting her. Elena looked ready to kill. Angelo same face as first off. Will looked conflicted. Matteo was his normal RBF.

"Where the hell is she then?" Angelo snapped.

Getting up from my seat I head down to the dungeons while texting all my men to start checking all 18 rooms in the house and security footage. While their on that I'm going to asking Mr and Mrs. Powell a few questions. May even break a couple bones while i'm at it.

SERENITY

Cassie was one of my friend groups 'FBI agents'. She could find anyone, hack into anything. That's why I needed her. I had to erase the evidence of me leaving the Rossi manor so Luciano wouldn't be following me or have any way to find me before I handle Carson.

"Ok Doll, I got in. The VPN's on these things are incredible. But I'm even more incredible so, I nailed it." Cassie told me as she typed away on her computer. "But how are you going to find Carson?"

I sighed running a hand down my face. "I don't know. I think I might have to track him down myself."

"Ren that can take months...you know how Carson rolls. If he doesn't want to be found he will not be found." Cass reminds me. "I'll do all I can to speed up the process but...I just don't think it's right to do this to Luciano."

I give her a sympathetic smile. "Thank you Cass. That means so much to me really." I sigh ignoring the last part of her statement.

I know it's not right. But, it's not like he's in love with me or something. He's literally only known me for like 19 days. Not even 20!

"Ren?" Cassie knocks me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah. What's wrong?"

She shakes her head. "Girl, why are you doing this to yourself and him? He's in the mafia for crying out loud! He can track down this son of a bitch a lot faster than we can!" She explains.

And I know this. I just do not feel right there right now. With him. That close. It's weird how hooked he is from 19 days. I don't even love him so he can't love me! There's no reasoning for it.

"Serenity! Stop overthinking it. You ever heard of love at first sight?" She asks me.

I look at her with a raised eyebrow. She's not saying what I think she's saying right?

"Yes. Why?"

"It exists; and it works. Especially on men. Even more so when the woman is as stunning as you. Stop overthinking." She chuckles rubbing my arm.

I smile slightly. "It's just really really weird. I have no name for the feeling as to why it's weird but it is; and you know I hate weird."

"Well, I see why you may feel a bit rushed I guess but that's not something to be ashamed of." She shrugs. "Just means you're so pretty and unique that his heart couldn't stand not being attached to you."

I laugh, "Maybe you're right but at the same time..he isn't just some normal guy. He's Luciano fucking Rossi. Italian mafia don. That's not exactly easy to process."

She nods looking at the computer. Her face contorts into worry. I quickly match her facial expression when I see what she sees. Carson's red and black Range Rover Sport riding pass the gates of Rossi manor.

He's found them. Fuck!

"Ok good news is, we've found Carson. Bad news is, he got to your lover boy before you got to him..." Cassie says.

This is not happening. I'm not going to let it. I grab my phone calling Axel.

"Hey Princess."

"Hey, Ax. I need you and your gang. Now. Carson Dale's back in town."
