~~~Hunter's pov~~~
I said goodbye to Emma earlier this week because she started school earlier than I did or else she would've been here with my family to drop me off at college.
I just grabbed the last of my boxes, bringing them into the house. I'm moving into the football house with a bunch of my teammates.
After I said goodbye to my family I started unpacking my stuff.
I finished unpacking and started to get hungry, so I left the house and hit up the deli down the street, best Italian subs around.
When I got back, I walked in on a guy making out with some girl on the counter in the kitchen.
They broke apart and he whispered in her ear making her giggle and she ran upstairs.
"Hey man I'm Axel" He said shaking my hand.
"Hunter."
"So you're our new QB?" He asked.
"Yeah."
"I'm one of the receivers" He said.
Just as I'm about to say something to him someone interrupts us.
"Hey ax, where you at?" The voice asked.
Wait a minute I know that voice.
I turn around and look at the figure in the doorway.
"Dude... what the fuck are you doing here?" He asked walking over to me.
We give each other a bro hug. "I just moved in today."
"No shit, wait...are you the new freshman QB?" He asked.
"Yeah. You on the team too?"
"Yeah still a receiver, Iive here too" He said.
"Nice, it's gonna be good to play with you again man."
"Yeah we were the dream team" He grinned.
"Ok... how do you two know each other?" Axel asked.
"We played football in highschool together and he dated my sister."
"Shit, and you're cool with him?" Axel asked.
"Yeah, not trying to make him a cockier fucker than he already is, but I wouldn't have picked anyone else for my sister."
"Wow. thanks man, I appreciate it" Ryder said.
"Well I'm gonna go back to my girl, I'll catch you guys later" Axel said leaving the room.
I look at Ryder and I can already see on his face what he wants to ask.
"She's doing good bro" I said reassuring him.
He laughed. "How'd you know?"
"I can see it on your face dude."
"Damn and here I thought I hid it well. Is she really doing good?" He asked.
"Yeah, she's doing good. I'm not going to lie, but when you guys first broke up she was a wreck, but she got over it and she's doing great in college."
"It was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but I'm happy she's doing good out there" He said with a small smile.
"Alright enough of this mushy shit, wanna go play Madden?"
"Yeah, sure" He said.
We played Madden for a few hours and caught up, I always got along with him and we made a good team when it came to football.
