Still Beautiful

Even when you didn't notice,

She was still beautiful.

Yeah, even when you wanted someone else a little bit more;

She had dozens of guys who would've killed

just to walk her to the door.

But she wanted you- just you.

And she never felt beautiful anymore.

All of a sudden she was so insecure.

She hated her body and it became an obsession that took over her mind.

And you only cared about getting fucking high.

She was still beautiful,

Even though you forgot about how much you loved her soul;

Before you changed it.

She got cold.

And you started blaming.

But you knew all along that it was all your fault.

Too bad it took you too long to come out and say it.

You didn't notice how beautiful she was,

Until she was gone.

And she was more beautiful than ever.

When nobody was tearing her down.

She finally saw her beauty within herself;

And she was proud.

Too bad you never saw her with sober eyes.

She loved you.

And you loved to make her cry.

But she was still beautiful.

Now her soul is moving on and you can't take it.

She had something about her that made her one of a kind

and you'll never replace it.

But you'll try.

She's still beautiful

And only getting more wise.

It's such a shame that it took her so long to see

that her fear of looking in the mirror,

Was just a facade that you planted in her mind

to mask your own insecurities.

She's still beautiful.

You should've never let her go.
