"NO SHE CAN'T!!!"
Bakugou yelled interrupting their conversation.

"Actually I can't I have something I need to do."
Mai lied.

"Oh... You sure? I mean we aren't doing anything so we could go with you."
A disappointed Denki suggested

"No sorry."
She streched out her wings and took off.
"Goodbye."
She yelled while flying away from the park, with no actual destination.

Mai still hasn't adjusted to the idea of friends, the thought of people getting close still put her on edge.
Maybe it was stupid, but class 1a has been though a lot of danger.

What if that happened again and someone got hurt or even Killed?
Could Mai's sanity take another loss?

She shook her head and continued flying pushing away those thoughts.

...............................

Kaminari watched as the girl flew off.
"She was acting... Weird."
He pointed out before turning to the other guys.

"Yeah probably because Bakugou scared her off!"
Sero responded.

"Why would she be scared of Bakugou?"
Kirishima joked nudging his ash blonde friend.

"She's not scared of me idiots."
He grumbled watching her leave.
Bakugou wasn't stupid, even in middle School he noticed Mai reject Midoriya's freindship just as often as he did, but for different reasons.

At first he assumed that it was because of how other kids treated her but then Midoriya was quirkless and being treated the same way.
Then he realized that something about freindship scared her, he wasn't sure what though.

"Then why did she leave?"
Sero quistioned.

"Because she doesn't want to spend time with idiots like you."
He snapped back, deciding it wasn't his place to talk about her fear a friendship.

"Yeah sure, I'm are the problem."
Sero said rolling his eyes at Bakugou, the guy that screamed at her constantly.

"Whatever, let's go."
Bakugou commanded his new group of idiots.
...............................

Mai landed at a mall and decided to look around.
As a kid she wasn't allowed to go to stores often so she wanted to walk around and see what the appeal was.

The crowds weren't to big so it was a nice time for Mai to walk around.
But of course the universe can't let Mai have a nice time that easily.

"Mai!!!"
A pink girl shrieked before attempting to tackle her friend.
Mai obviously could hear her from a mile away and easily Dodged Mina's freindship attack.

"Hey!"
Mina pouted after almost falling over.

"Sorry, you startled me."
Mai lied for the hundredth time today, lying was a new habit she seemed to have picked up.

"No problem!"
Mina grabbed her hand.
"Come on! The rest of us are over here!"
The pink girl began dragging her friend into a food court.
"Wait-"
She began to protest before being interrupted.

"You're lucky we saw you! I really need your phone number so I can call you when we hang out!"
Mina said smiling back at her.

"We? Who all is here?"
Mai asked dreading the answer.

"All the girls!"
Mina pointed at a table, sure enough all of the girls in class 1a were present.

"Oh, well I can't stay I have-"
Mai failed to think of an excuse.
What's normal for people do on days off?

"You can stay for a few minutes!"
Mina interupted her before she could even begin to think of an answer.
"Yeah, sure..."

Mai complied defeated for the first time in her life.
Mina pushed her to a seat between her and Uraraka.

"I found her! Now give me your number right now!"
Mina said pulling out her own phone.
Mai shrugged and told her the number she forced herself to memorize the day she got one.

"I thought Uraraka was gonna get it from Midoriya, ribbit?"
Tsu asked.
From across from Mai.

"Oh yeah... I forgot."
Uraraka laughed nervously.
Mai raised her eyebrows but ended up ignoring it.
Uraraka didn't forget, she just wanted to spend time with the original 1a girls, without Mai who she knew probably wouldn't care anyways.

"Well now that I've forced it out of her we're fine!"
Mina said trying desperately to keep the peace.
