And made her way to hang out in the prep room with the rest of class 1A.

Who she neglected to tell she wasn't participating.

"Rika! We are required to wear our PE uniforms while participating in the sports festival!"
Iida scolded.
"You would know this if you arrived at the proper Time!"

She raised her eyebrows.

"Who the hell cares?! She looks hot!"
A drooling Mineta commented trying to look under her shirt.
Only to see shorts, and then the bottom of her boot when she kicked his face.

"Well I would change into my uniform, if I planned on participating during the festival."
She crossed her arms and sat down.

"What does that mean?"
Uraraka asked suspicious that she was trying to skip out on the activity without permission.

She shrugged
"Nezu said I didn't need to."

The class sat there confused.
"Do you not want to? This is our chance to be seen by pro's!!"
Kirishima asked.

"There's always next year, besides I'm not ready for that..."
She looked down.

The class assuming she meant physically, but she really meant emotionally.

She's only been going to school for a few weeks and they haven't even seen her fight.
The school has been focusing on actual normal school work and not training as a way to force them into training on their own time.

"Don't worry! We understand! Right Uraraka?"
Mina said hugging Mai.

She'd of course noticed How Uraraka acts around Mai and was trying everything possible to make them be friends.

"Yeah I guess."
She mumbled.

"What's wrong Uraraka?"
Midoriya asked noticing the tone of voice.

"Nothing! I'm just nervous..."

He nodded in understanding.

Mai's phone began to ring and she excused herself.
She walked outat the same time Todoroki walked in.

She rolled her eyes after seeing the name displayed on her phone.
It was the third time since getting her phone last week he called to "Chat"

"What do you need bird brain?"
She asked into the phone.

"Is that all you could think of? Really? I thought you were more creative then that!"
Hawks responded.

"Of course that's not all."
She rolled her eyes and he could tell through her tone of voice.
"My others are a bit ruder so be happy with that one."

"Yeah sure."

"What do you want? And where are you? I can barely hear you."
She complained about the multiple voices talking in the background.

"Really? Hold on."

Hawks who was sitting in the hero stands waiting to watch the Sports festival took to the air and Landed on top of the walls.

"This better?"

"Yes but you didn't answer any of my questions."

"I want to talk to you and I'm at the sports festival, happy?"

"Never."

"So will you be making an appearance at this thing? Or am I wasting my time by watching amateurs?"

"Oh yeah, cheering crowds, one on one fighting matches, obnoxious announcers this is going to be great for my ptsd."
She responded sarcastically.

"Is that a no?"

"What do you think bird brain?"

"I think you use to much sarcasm- Oh hold on I think it's starting! Call you later kid!"
He hung up and Mai walked to the 1A seating area.

If she said she paid attention to the first two challenges she would be lying, so she didn't bother.
She walked to the eating area and said "Good job" which was enough to fool the others.

"Where is Midoriya?"
She asked looking for her friend.

"Why?"
Uraraka responded a little to quickly then she intended.

Mai raised an eyebrow.
"Is wanting to know the location of my friend a crime?"

Uraraka looked away clearly embarrassed.
"No."

"Then why do you care?"

"I saw him walk somewhere with Todoroki, I'm sure we'll see them soon."
Momo assured her.

"Okay."

Mai frowned and gave the rest of her half eaten food to Kirishima and Sero before walking to the stands.

"Wait!"
She heard Toru yell.

"What-"

Toru grabbed Mai's hand and drug her to the dressing room.

"What are you doing?!"

"We have to do a cheer contest!"
A cheerleader outfit was shoved in Mai's face.

"Why?"
She asked raising an eyebrow.

"I'm not sure, but we do! So let's go!"
Mina said pushing her bored freind into a stall.

"Whatever."
Mai slipped on the reviling outfit.
Mai of course pulled it off easily, dispite her multiple scars and resting bitch face she was very attractive.
"Happy?"

"Omgoodness! You're so hot Mai!!!"
Mina said jumping up and down.

"I have some makeup, if you wanna cover up your scars."
Uraraka said frowning at herself.

Everything about Mai made her jealous, so making her just a little self conscious won't hurt, right? What she said wasn't that mean...

"Why? Are they making you uncomfortable?"
She responded, her confidence never failing.

"N-no I just-"

"Anyways! We gotta go!!"
Mina cried grabbing both of their hands and pulling them after the other girls onto the field.
