You take a deep breath and look in the mirror. you straighten your tie and your mom walks in. you turn and smile at her.
Today is your wedding day. the madrigals came with you back to your kingdom so the wedding can be there. you haven't seen Dolores all day as her family is helping her get ready and some of the servants went to help. Your dad was with you earlier but had to go do a perimeter check.
"oh my handsome young man" your mom says and walks over to you.
"are you excited?" she ask
"yeah.. i'm just nervous." you admit.
"well i know the moment you see her nothing else matters. so focus on her the whole time. oh i can't wait. " she tells you
you hug your mom and she kisses your cheek.
"okay i can do this. " you say and start heading to the door
"you're forgetting something" your mom tells you
you turn and look at her confused. she taps her head and you realize you didn't put your crown on. you smile small at her and put your crown on. today Dolores would not only be your princess but your country's.
"i already dropped the tiara off to princess Dolores, my beautiful daughter in law. " your mom tells you.
you smile and you two walk to the back garden where you will have a private wedding with both your families. Your mom walks you down the isle and kiss your cheek.
"you got this my sweet prince" she whispers in your ear
you kiss her cheek
"i love you. " you tell her.
she goes and sits. you take a deep breath and wait to see your beautiful wife. you hear the music play and watch Dolores and Felix walk. you tear up and cover your mouth. God Dolores looks like a goddess.
"wow" you said
Dolores wipes her eyes as she also tears up walking to you.
"Who gives this woman to this man today?" the priest ask
"I do. " Felix says.
he takes Dolores hands and puts them in your hand.
"take care of my girl" he tells you
"i will... thank you" you smile at him
he smiles and goes to be with Pepa. you stare into Dolores eyes and smile at her.
"we are gathered here today to celebrate the love between Dolores and prince (y/n). a love that grew into something beautiful. the bride and groom have written their own vows. " the priest announces
"Dolores.. mi princesa. I love you more than anything. You and I share a love for reading and I knew the moment we first read together that I was going to make you mine. you opened my eyes and showed me a different world... and that world is something i can't live without because you're in it. i will follow you to the ends of the earth. I promise i will love you and care for you for the rest of our lives. I can't wait to be able to stop someone and point to you and say 'that beautiful woman there is my wife'. i will forever show you off even when we are old and have grandkids you will be the most beautiful woman in my life. i love you. " you tell her
you wipe the tears from Dolores face and she wipes yours.
"oh mi vida. you are the man in all the romance books i read. I longed to have a happily ever after and i realized I just want to be happy with you for as long as we live. you made your way back to me because you love me. I never knew love can make me feel this way and for that I thank you. I promise to love and take care of you forever. I can't wait to see where our future takes us. I love you " Dolores said as she cried.
The priest ask Antonio for the rings and he smiles and brings the rings over.
"thank you hermanito" you tell the young boy
you two exchange rings.
"do you Dolores Madrigal take Prince (y/n) (L/n) to be your husband and take the role of princess?" the priest ask
"I do. "
"Do you prince (y/n) (l/n) take Princess Dolores Madrigal to be your wife?" he ask
"i do" you say smiling
"you may kiss the bride"
you put ear plugs on Dolores and two kiss. everyone cheers and you smile in the kiss. you pull away and you both walk down the isle. you all party for the night and then soon it's time for bed. everyone goes to their room and you and dolores go to your room.
"finally we get to share a bed." you say
"without sneaking around to share one" she adds
you nod and you both undress.
"take a shower with me " Dolores tells you
"okay" you agree and follow her to your personal bathroom.
she smiles and you both shower together and wash one another. That night you two have a great night as a married couple.
