Y/N's POV

When I reached the place, I leaned my bike against a pole and entered the coffee shop, not forgetting to take a few deep breaths.

My eyes wandered throughout the whole coffee shop, in hopes to find a specific someone, and I successfully did when I saw a girl who's wearing a shirt, track pants, and an eyeglass to match the look.

The girl has a nice fashion sense.

It must be her.

She keeps on looking at her phone from time to time while sipping on her coffee.

I sighed before walking towards her.

I could tell that she felt my presence because she immediately looked up and smiled at me.

How–?

"Why don't you take a seat first and drink the coffee that I ordered for you." She said as she pointed at the cup of Americano.

I rolled my eyes and sat on the chair in front of her.

I stared at the coffee, hesitating whether if I'm going to drink it or not.

This is my favorite type of coffee.

How did she know? Was it just a coincidence?

"If I were you, I'll drink that before it turns cold... like you." She softly said, mumbling the last two words.

I stared at her as I took a sip on the coffee.

"By the way, here are my notes," I said as I placed my notebook in front of her.

"Just make sure that the exam will contain fifty items. No more, no less." I added.

She nodded and gave me her notebook in return.

"Y/N, once the tests are finally finished, when and where are we going to answer it?" Mina asked.

"Maybe tomorrow at 3 PM," I replied and sipped on the coffee again, it tastes really good. I should visit this cafe more often.

"Can we answer at your place?" She suggested making me choke.

She immediately gave me a tissue which I accepted and used it to wipe my face.

"Are you okay?" She asked in a concerned tone.

I nodded and sighed before throwing the tissue away in a nearby bin.

If we will answer the test at my place, Irene-unnie will definitely tease me, and my parents might return tomorrow.

"How about at your place? Can we just answer there?" It was my turn to suggest.

"I'm sorry, my house isn't available tomorrow. My parents are having guests." Mina explained.

I looked at the time on my phone to see that it's already 8:00 PM.

"Then I have no choice but to agree. We'll answer in my house." I said plainly and she nodded with excitement in her eyes.

Eh?

Oh, I almost forgot...

"Before we head home, I just want to apologize about what happened a while ago," I said with my head hanging low due to embarrassment.

I look so pathetic right now, but I don't have a choice.

I don't want her to misunderstand...

But she only looked at me in confusion.

"For what?" She asked innocently before tilting her head to the side.

"For secretly watching you dance and for the weird message that I sent." I shyly answered.

She quickly avoided my gaze with reddened cheeks.

Cute.

Oof– I must've drunk too much coffee...

"You shouldn't apologize, it's my fault for not closing the door." She said, still avoiding my gaze.

Is she blaming herself?

Gosh. This penguin...

And I don't know about the 'weird message' that you're apologizing for because I didn't receive any replies from you." She said with an innocent face.

"Oh?" I reacted and checked the message that I sent to her.

(Message not sent.)

"Thank the heavens..." I mumbled before sighing and closing my eyes.

Good thing that the signal was poor or else I might've smacked Irene-unnie in the face.

Why didn't I noticed that the message failed to send?

I just got worried for nothing.

I heard her giggle which I found cute.

"Well– I– Uhm... I apologize for not replying." I blabbered.

Why did I stutter? I'm such an idiot.

"O-Okay?" She responded in confusion, followed by a cute giggle before sipping on her coffee.

I mirrored her actions and took a sip of coffee, but just decided to chug it down until it's empty.

"Thanks for the coffee. I'll go home now, and you should too since it's getting late." I said and stood up.

She smiled and bowed a bit before I left her in the coffee shop.

I gently placed her notebook on the small basket on my bicycle before blasting some music through my AirPods and pedaled back home.

Mina's POV

I never expected to see the soft side of Bae Y/N

She was so cute, I've never seen this side of her before.

But for some unknown reason, I really hate it when she leaves me alone.

It might sound weird but I also hate it when she never bothers to ask me to go home together.

Seeing this side of her made me think that maybe she hasn't always been this way.

Maybe she wasn't a cold person before?

I'm sure that there's a reason why she became like that.

But what is it?
