Kun stared at the huge mansion that was looming over him, sucking in the last bit of pride and selfishness he had. The mansion—no let him correct it—palace was insanely barren from life. The building and its surroundings were well kept but there was no sense of life.

The gigantic doors opened, revealing a maid who had a passive look. ❝the master is ready to receive you. I shall escort you ❞ she opened the doors more widely, moving to the side for kun to walk in.

Never in his 19 years of living did he think he would ever catch a glimpse inside this majestic Palace. It was only something the people in the city talked about. How this solely belonged to those who had the Jung blood, in short, were part of the Jung clan.

At awe, kun would look everywhere each time he spotted something new and peeked his interest. Sometimes, he couldn't believe that jaehyun and sungchan were brought up in these walls.

On the walls were hand drawn medium sized portraits of each family member ever born in the family. He notice how it were all boys. He even caught glimpse of sungchan and jaehyun.

He abruptly came to a stop in front the biggest portraits he had seen in the Palace. This was the only girl, sitting on a throne. Her face was identical to jaehyun's, except for her curly black locks which she kept away from her face in a tight bun. She was wearing a midnight blue gown, moon flowers embroidered on her skirt and bodice. Her expression was blank, similar to how the other portraits were, but her eyes said something else. She looked amused. She had her hands on top of each other on her skirt. On her neck was a pendant, similar to one of shotaro's Keychain. Her ears were adorned with blue sapphire earrings in the shape of a half moon with a pearl hanging in the center by gold strings. On her thumb was a gold ring and on her ring finger was a ring with a moonstone. And to top it off, on her head was a crown similar to one that the queen in England wore but kun knew that it cost and valued much more.

“I see you already met her ”

Footsteps came from behind him, making kun turn around and come face to face with Mr. Jung. The elderly man resembled greatly like jaehyun. There weren't any traces on sungchan but kun wouldn't dwell in it that much. He bowed at the man. ❝sir❞

The man greeted in acknowledgedment, walking past him to the portrait. He placed a careful hand on its frame. ❝she never got the chance to love despite falling three times. The first, she learned that love needed the truth. The second, she learned she needed trust. The the last, the most painful one, she had to learn to sacrifice her love. It was sad. She never got to have a lover and to this day, she roams the sky alone❞

❝moonflower❞ kun muttered. He knew the legend surrounding the Jungs well. The one that scares people in trying to  love them. They were cursed to curse their lover, especially when they realize their feelings during the moonflower festival. ❝the festival. It's cursed, isn't it? ❞

❝whoever receives a gift from a Jung during that night is bound to experience a difficult love life. Their relationship will be surrounded by hurdles. If they managed to go through it then lucky for them but if they didn't, ❞ a grim expression was on the man's face. ❝they are bound to continue living with a person they did not choose but the moonflower chose for them. In my sons' case❞ Mr. Jung turned his head to look at kun, ❝someone we will arrange❞
