Chapter 41: Newbies

"Fine, do you want something to eat?" He fixes his tie looking in the mirror. "No, I'll have Adriano bring me something. Bye Amore" I kiss him before walking out.

I see Santo with Luciano in the living room. "Bye my children" I hug them both walking to my car. Driving off I put the windows down feeling the summer weather.

Fuck it's hot. That a/c better be on in the warehouse. My phone rings and the caller I.d shows up as Mia. I quickly answer it by putting it on the dashboard.

"Do you want food?" She asks when I start to pull into the warehouse scanning my hands on the scanners. "Yes please bring me anything" I do the final scan getting my access to the building. Pulling my car to the front I step out giving the keys to the guard.

He drives off going into the garage parking my car. "Alright I'm on my way Adrianos already there." I walk in many greetings. 

Training shouldn't be that bad. There might be newbies here but I'll make sure they know what to expect. Going into the training floor just like I expected there are at least 15 newbies.

They look young, not too much younger than Santo. "Good Morning Boss" The 15 of them line up Adriano behind them trying to hold his laugh in. "Good morning, it's nice to see that you all have manners. Very respectable right now you are all the underdogs, the fresh meat. Don't let that discourage you. I've seen some of the best start from the bottom. For the two hours you will train in the gym. From there the last three will be you doing one on one. I'll pair you up with either myself or Adriano watching as you do certain tasks. Start now" They hurry off picking different machines. 

"Make sure I don't break my neck" I look at Adriano adding weights to the Barbell. It's only 125 pounds but I want to see my kids later. I do need to make sure I don't lose my ass. That would be a real problem.

Pregnancy took a toll on my body. It's taken me a while to get the body I had back. I felt so self conscious and ugly with myself. Lucky helped me through it, always giving me love and telling me how beautiful I was even if I didn't feel It.

The sweat drips down my forehead. I take one last squat Adriano takes the barbell from my back helping me put it back on the machine. "Mia's in your office, go eat I know you haven't yet oh and Vincenzo's there he doesn't go in today" I'll take food anytime I really am hungry.

My office Is on the highest floor of the warehouse. Elevator is it we're on the 3rd floor and my office is on the 6th yeah no I'm not walking my legs hurt.

"Good Morning Capo. Mr.Bianchi and Ms.Colombo are in your office waiting for you. All the files that you requested are at your desk. Meetings today start at 12 pm of course you can always change them or cancel" Head of I.T hands me a sealed file.

I thank him for walking into my office. Mia sit's on one of the chairs while Vincenzo lays on the couch. I would have stood home if I was Enzo. He's been on call for the past 3 days now. Surgeries aren't easy being a doctor in general isn't easy.

Mia points to the food on my desk making my stomach rumble. "Bless your soul" I tell her, taking the food from my desk. I put my feet up on the desk enjoying the food I was given.

I miss my kids. I'm so close to calling Santo and telling him to take the tunnels here just to hide Luciano from being seen. I don't need anyone else seeing him just yet. He's still a baby and in this world there are people who don't care and will go to the extent to harm a child.

"How many newbies are there?" Enzo askses me, making me lose my track of thought. "15 they've been doing regular training until I go back. From there Adriano takes half I take the other then test abilities" I throw away the empty plate..
