She was silent now, just staring out of the window as I was driving

today she is gonna discover about her past which will definitely shock her

the moment we reached her house her eyes lit up 

I parked the car and she sprinted towards the house she hugged her old man tightly 

"Gramps are you ok?" she was sobbing

"I am but where were you? I tried calling you many times"

"I-I-Wa--

"She was with me" I cut her off

I stood in front of him and his reaction was as if he saw a ghost I chuckled 

"How dar-

"I advise you carefully choose your words before you speak mister" I cut him 

he nodded and we went inside

how can she live in a small and tiny place like this

there was fear, sheer fear written on that old man's face

" please sir leave us alone have mercy on us"

"Mr. Robert you know everything very well" I said

"What is he talking about Gramps tell me?"

"Elza what I am gonna tell is the truth you should've known........

I was confused what truth was gramps talking about?

"......your dad worked for the underworld Mafia the Salvatore family,

it was during the 1980's when your dad was in college and he made a close friend Dan, Dan was a new boy who joined in the middle of the year soon Dan and your dad Jacob became close friends it was then Dan revealed to your dad that he belonged to a Mafia family and is currently hiding for his safety but your dad was still loyal to him and helped him throughout his stay in America later Dan left America but a few years later he came back and they both met again, Dan hired your dad as the undecontroller of his Mafia Business 

time passed on your dad met your mom Ruby they got married but your dad hid this secret till you were born and she suspected when your dad was getting into many accidents which were not mere accidents but attacks, when she finally found out she was scared and she left him with you "

my senses stopped working 

"Let me continue from here" Dornan spoke

"...Your dad continued to serve our family but few years back there was a big war in the Mafia underworld during which your dad fought bravely and protected my father from any harm but he was killed, it was not disclosed in the media since the Mafia world and its business is very confidential your dad's last wish was for you , he wanted you to be in safe hands for the rest of your life

so my dad Daniel Masserio Salvatore set up an alliance between our families in respect for the loyalty your father showed to us and also fulfilling his last wish it was decided that you would get married to me when you turn eighteen 

coming to the point when you turned eighteen my dad decided to contact your grandfather but he didn't respond to any of our calls he even shifted from the main residence he used to live in but we found you."  He finished with a smirk on his face

I was shocked  I felt my whole world turned upside down

my dad worked for mafia?

"Gramps you hid such a big thing from me? "

"I didn't hide it I was just waiting for the right time to tell you believe me" his voice shaking

"Anyways you can plan and let us know when you want to meet to discuss everything else"he interrupted

"what if we don't want this alliance?" I asked dornan

"well your life is in danger, its been 12 years since that war but the rival mafia gang is still searching for your dead father's family to take revenge because your dad killed one of his big supporting men, by accepting this alliance you and your old man will be protected by our family"

I was bewildered, shocked and confused I felt numb I never thought that my life could turn out like this
