Everyone couldn't help but applaud for their victory at the Miracle Cave. There were no deaths on either end. Their hard work paid off with the results that they all hoped for.
Even so, Kai couldn't help but double-check if anyone from Tsukasa's Empire or The Kingdom of Science were injured anywhere. She nears where they were all gathered, soon meeting up with Kokuyo.
"How is everyone here?" Kai looked over towards where Kohaku's father and the rest of the elders were guarding Tsukasa's men. She inspected each and everyone, trying to pry out any sort of injury. "Is anyone badly hurt?"
Kokuyo smiles at this, a bit bashful by Kai's sincere words, "Everything is alright over here. Thank you so much for worrying, Goddess!"
Kai was about to change his last phrase, but after always trying to correct them all the time and them continuing to call her that...at this point the singer just has to give up.
'Whatever...it's already a hassle trying to correct them,' Kai muses, deadpanning a bit by how Kokuyo's eyes sparkled her way...as if the older man was admiring her. All this only made it awkward for her.
Ignoring him, she continues, "...I'm glad to hear everyone is alright,"
With a small sigh, Kai now turns away to locate Senku and the rest of the team. His hair was in no way hard to track, especially the way it levitates off from the science boy's head. He was easy to spot.
Senku was near the fallen Tank, rummaging inside the metallic machinery before taking out what seems like a glass container. She recognized it to be the gunpowder.
'It's about time...' Kai takes quick steps towards where they all stood. She kept her gaze firmly on the science boy.
"Senku--" Just as she was calling him out when Ukyo suddenly began to yell towards them, alarming them.
"RUN!!!"
Everyone turned towards the archer, seeing the way his expression morphs into panic, "EVERYONE RUN----!!!"
At the last second, Ukyo turned by the sound of something hurdling his way...his eyes widen upon seeing what it was. Though it was already too late to move, the thrown spear pierced his skin.
Ukyo came in crashing down onto Senku...while the glass that stored the gunpowder shattered to the floor beside them, stirring up a black cloud. They were completely covered by its shade.
It all happened too fast, everyone frozen in their place....as the fear inside their hearts began to gradually grow.
Kai's quivering eyes peer through the smoke where she once saw a standing Senku, who now was struggling to stan from his position. Her eyes peer over behind him..seeing the fallen archer bleeding from below. Before she can ask Senku about his conditions, he spoke first, "I'm fine...don't worry about me,"
At this, Kai could only nod and go past him in order to reach for the injured archer. She ushers him close, eyes locating where the wound was, and made sure to be careful in handling him.
The dark smoke began to clear out, now able to show the two warriors that they hoped to not fight. But it seems like there was no avoiding them now.
"Kohaku and Magma both fought one of them and they didn't stand a chance...!" Ginro's voice quivered, in a tense stance just like the rest of the warriors of Ishigami Village. Their gazes couldn't help but be shaken up by the appearance of the two.
