36 - Let Me Introduce Myself.

Jungkook was not really aware of what was happening around him. So many things had happened within the last few hours that he was sort of out of everything. He let Yoongi take him wherever he wanted and didn't ask anything as they got into a hotel room.

Yoongi wordlessly took the younger to the bathroom, removed his shirt and thoroughly cleaned all his wounds. He would dress them up after Jungkook had a bath. Yoongi ordered Jungkook's favorite dishes from room service so that it'll be ready when he's done with his bath.

Jungkook didn't think at all and worked as if he was on autopilot. He didn't let his mind wander at all, because if he did, it would be too overwhelming for him. And Jungkook wanted to have a good sleep before facing all that.

Yoongi waited till Jungkook came out of the bathroom and then treated the younger one's wounds. Jungkook can certainly take pain and it doesn't bother him much when he gets physically hurt. But he always becomes whiny and childlike whenever those wounds get treated with medicine. The lack of usual responses made Yoongi realize just how much the younger was mentally affected by this whole ordeal.

A sudden knock on the door made Yoongi come out of his disturbing thoughts. Even Jungkook broke his dazed state and looked at the elder with a question.

"Must be room service." Yoongi explained softly. "I don't know about you but I'm starving."

Yoongi gave a wink to the younger who's lips involuntarily curved up to a small smile. But it immediately fell when the door was opened and Jungkook saw who was standing outside.

The first thing Taehyung noticed when the door opened was Jungkook, standing in the middle of the room, with his beautiful bambi eyes wide with surprise. Taehyung stared at those eyes for a few seconds, unable to look away until the man who opened the door cleared his throat.

Taehyung didn't know the man but was sure it was Min Yoongi. He gave a polite smile and introduced himself.

"Hi, I'm Kim Taehyung."

Instant recognition flashed through Yoongi's eyes and he turned around to look at Jungkook. The younger one didn't show any reaction but just stood there, frozen. Yoongi reluctantly turned back to Taehyung.

"Uhh... maybe now is not a good time?" Yoongi said in a soft tone but Taehyung gently shook his head at that.

"Please... I just want 10 minutes." Taehyung said in a pleading voice and then he looked at Jungkook directly. "Jungkook please, just hear me out this one time."

Yoongi looked at Jungkook again but there wasn't any response from the latter. He sighed a bit but opened the door wide and gestured Taehyung to come in.

Taehyung walked in and sat on the sofa, while Yoongi and Jungkook sat in the two armchairs opposite that.

"How are you?" Taehyung asked in a soft voice. "Did you get your wounded treated-"

"I thought you had something to say to me." Jungkook cut across the elder's words, making Taehyung bite his words back and nod a few times.

"Uhh.. I don't know where to start." Taehyung scratched the back of his head with a small smile. He took a deep breath to gather his thoughts before starting to speak.

"Guess I'll start by introducing myself. My name is Kim Taehyung. I'm 26. I'm part of the special operation unit, assigned specifically to gather information about Jay's empire."

"Empire?"

The word got Jungkook's attention. Sure, Jay is a bastard and deserved to be killed in the most horrible way possible, but he's just a club owner and a drug dealer, right?
