CHAPTER 17

"Happy birthday Princess" Dad says kissing my head while i still sleep

Dad does this every year, around 5am he always comes in and gives me a kiss on the head wishing me a happy birthday, he then leaves then continues to let me sleep. A few hours later he wakes my in a special way.

"Happy birthday Princess!" he screams,jumping on me, waking me up "Becca please do the honers"

Mum walks through with a 'Collin the caterpillar' cake which is my favourite. Every time it's someone's birthday in the family we just eat cake for breakfast all in bed together

"Happy birthday baby" she says kissing my head

I can't believe my girl is 16, she's a young adult now she can make her own decisions which is extremely weird to think about.

I watch at Rebecca and Remi interact, Remi has moved up so Rebecca can sit down next to her and Princess has her head on Rebecca's shoulder

Ah her first ever birthday with Becca...

"Babe are you sure you want me to stay, it's her fourth birthday and i don't want to ruin the day with you and your family"

"Becs we all want you here so please stay, plus it was a special request from the princess herself, she loves you"

"okay, only because i love her" she gives me a small smile and i pick her up and spin her

"Daddy, i need to go to bed soon" Remi says walking into my room

"Let's get you bathed and changed then shall we?" she lets our giggles as i throw her over my shoulder and make our way to her room picking out her jammies and starting to run her bath

"Is Becca going to be there when i wake up tomorrow?" she asks as i cover her eyes and rinse water over her

"yeah she is princess"

The smile on her face means everything. It's a smile i will never get over.

"Daddy where is Becca?"

"she's getting your bed ready and your jammies, she's also getting daddy's bed ready"

"Does becca live in our house?"

"she will be in about 6 months or so, so you will see her here everyday"

"Good, because i love Becca"

"i love her too Princess"

That was the first time i said i loved Becca, i didn't say it too her but she definitely heard it, considering i didn't see her standing at the bathroom door

"Princess, your bed is ready when you need it" Becca says leaving me in surprise

"okay, daddy can i get out now?"

"yeah princess let's get you out"

I wrap her in her towel and take her into her room, while she dries off i put on a TV show for her and she sits and watches it while i go tidy up the bathroom

"hi baby" Becca says as i walk out her room

"Look becs i get if you're not ready to say it, it's okay-"

"i love you too Phil" she says cutting me off

"you do?"

"i love you and i love Remi. Yous are the best people in my life. i couldn't ask for anyone better" she wraps her arms around my neck and pulls me in
