CHAPTER 11

"So catch up sesh then, what's been happening at training?" Dad asks as we make our way along the road to training

5am starts are not the best part about playing at the academy especially since 'Manchester City Under 18s Academy' is the best youth team in the whole UK for the past 3 years.

"Well we have a new player on loan, his name is Finley Burns. He is ages with most of the team and he's close with his sister. Left Back" i tell him munching on my breakfast bar

"good, good. nice enough lad then?" he asks giving me a quick look but focuses back on the road

"yeah, he said his little sister loves me and she has a shirt with my name on the back and he's actually joining my school, he's just moved from Burnley"

"awh that's cute"

"yeah, good game last night wasn't it?"

He nods in agreement, dad got two goals and an assist. The match ended in 3-1 win against Liverpool and Dad got man of the match. Again.

"yeah it was, anything else you want to talk about?"

"Actually about my birthday, would i be able to have a party at the house the day after? I can spend my actual birthday with my family and on Saturday the party"

"You do know you have United at home on that Saturday?"

"12 o'clock kick off. Game will finish at 1:45ish and i can have the party at night"

"Fine, but i'm not coming home to a messy house and not too much drinks. Yes, you've got a day off on Sunday but if Brain found out you were all drinking at the weekend he will just make you do laps. No sex. No drugs. No smoking. How many of you guys are going to be there?"

"About 30, I'm inviting the team including Finley and some girls from school and plus my group from school"

"Just remember my rules and you're allowed Remi that's all i'm asking"

"i promise i will"

We just finish catching up on the way and i find out some stuff about the first team, they say they miss me and i have to pay them a visit soon. I miss them all too.

Today i didn't really try, dark grey leggings with a black hoodie and once again my black and white Jordan's. My favourite shoes. I have to teach a class at school today and it's year 7s two classes in fact and i also have first aid training when i'm due to have maths so i don't need any of my school books today which is useful

-

We make it to training and i grab my bag from the boot of the car "i'm finishing at lunch time today so i can pick you up today. we are going to have a family dinner tonight, so don't make plans, yeah?" dad tells me with his window down before i head in

"okay, bye dad love you" i smile

"love you too Princess"

i watch him drive out of the car park as i make my way into the building. i say hello to everyone and go to my locker to unpack my things.

i take my go to stuff out of my bag and have them ready. i then take my match analysis book and a pencil and make my way to the cafeteria to get a slice of toast and sit with everyone

"Good morning Miss Foden" i hear one of them shout while i'm still half asleep. i will wake up overtime.

Sitting in the cafeteria in the morning feels like you're sitting at the airport in the early hours of the morning. It's feels good but you are so tired.
