I looked over at the entrance of the room, and as I hoped, Corpse was coming in.

I put my hands on Sykkuno's and adjusted his hands onto my waist.

I put my hands on his shoulders and started dancing with him.

I looked over to the side and looked directly at Corpse's eyes.

He stood there, looking directly into mine.

I leaned onto Sykkuno and started dancing, even more, maintaining eye contact with Corpse.

"Steady~" Sykkuno whispered, adjusting my position.

I grabbed a cup of beer from the table behind us and took a shot as we danced.

Corpse was still watching, and he was coming towards us.

"Y/N-"

"Hey bro!" Sykkuno smiled, pushing himself away from me.

I stood there, with the red cup in my hand.

"Don't call me bro. Y/N, What are you doing?"

"I- I'm here with Sykkuno," I said, looking down.

Way to kill the vibe.

"No I mean- what's the drink in your hand?"

"It's beer," I said sluggishly, pushing Corpse away from me.

"See, she's drunk already. She can't drink." Corpse said, looking at Sykkuno, angrily.

"She-she's not," Sykkuno said, staring at Corpse, his eyes turning flashy red again,

"Yeah, I'm not," I said, finishing up what was left from the cup I had in my hand.

"Y/N, I'll take you home." Corpse said, pulling me towards him. "You need to rest, your body is not used to drinking this much."

"No. She'll stay here.. With me. She's my date after all."

Oh no no no-no-no. Why would he say that?

Corpse stood there, enlightened.

"Oh is she now?" He asked, twisting his tongue around his mouth, looking over at me.

"Right?" Sykkuno asked, "Y/N?"

I gulped, staring at the floor. "Oh, um y-yeah I guess you could s-say that."

Corpse laughed. He laughed as his eyes widened.

Sykkuno looked over at him and smiled.

"Any way you can get going now, Corpsey, she's safe in my hands."

"You're right." Corpse said, turning back. "She is."

Huh?

Was it that easy?

Just like that, he was leaving?

He started walking away from us, slowly.

Until...

"SHE'S SAFE WITH YOU MY ASS!" Corpse yelled, turning around, punching Sykkuno right in the face.

I gasped, jumping back.

Everyone at the party gasped and looked directly at me, Sykkuno and Corpse.

Sykkuno was kneeling on the ground, with his hand placed on his cheek.

I moved back, blending into the crowd.

Sykkuno got up and laughed at Corpse.

What have I done?

Look at the mess I created.

"Okay, bro. I see what you got." Sykkuno grinned. "Improved a lot since years ago."

Huh? Years ago? What was he saying?

"Shut up already. And stop with the bro thing."

Sykkuno started getting all up in Corpse's face, and I was afraid he'd decide to hit back.

"G-guys you should r-relax, this isn't l-like you!"

I looked back at the crowd to see if anyone was as afraid as I was, but instead, everyone looked... amused?

Ugh. Retarded inside and outside of school.

"Fight! Fight! Fight!" Everyone chanted.

Corpse and Sykkuno stood there, looking at everyone, then at each other.

"Come on big boy! Give it all you got!" Corpse said.

"I'm not here to fight," Sykkuno said. "Now I'm only gonna say this once. Leave the party. You're killing the vibe."

Corpse didn't like that, as all he did was punch Sykkuno yet again.

"CORPSE," I yelled out.

He looked me right in the eyes while I teared up.

He kept eye contact with me for a minute or two, then turned around and left.

"Corpse!-- Wait-" I ran off behind him.

He was gone.

I turned BACK around, this time for Sykkuno.

I walked through the halls of the house till I saw him sitting on the staircase, with his hand over his cheek.

I sat down next to him.

"Sykkuno! Are you okay?? Here, let me see your face." I said, placing my hand on his shoulder.

He glared at me.

I slowly removed his hand from his face and gasped at the sight of his bloody, bruised cheek.

"H-here let me get you some ice.." I said, not sure what to say.

"Y/N," he said, placing my body back down. "Listen I'm sorry about Corpse... He- he's just jealous."

That was the goal, wasn't it?

Sykkuno WANTED this to happen.

I gulped.

"Oh well um, it's fine."

"Let me take you on a proper date. Without him to interrupt."

I smiled, tilting my head.

"Next weekend. Me and you only. At a diner. For lunch?"

"I'll be there." I smiled.

"Anyway it's late, I should get going."

Before I got up from the staircase, I kissed Sykkuno on the cheek, and without saying anything, ran off.
