"No. What the hell is this?" (Y/N) swatted the light out of his face. Bruce took a step back out of instinct and because he didn't want to be struck by the man.

"When I saw you in Colorado, you agreed to come here then almost immediately disagreed." Natasha chimed in.

"Just like he did before Steve walked in." Bruce added.

"So? I changed my mind." (Y/N) lifted his arms in a show of annoyed confusion.

"Your entire demeanour changed. You're always so... mean when your eyes are like this." Bruce said in a quite voice, making (Y/N) swipe at him again. Had the other man not retreated, he'd have a firm mark on his face.

"I'll show you a lot worse than 'mean', сука." He hissed.

"Okay, okay. What about depression? Have you been down for a while?" Bruce quickly composed himself.

"For whatever reason. Yes. Though it's quite a contrast I despise." (Y/N) answered.

"Considering the aggression, I'd bring that down to a high amount of stress. Most likely trauma. But that doesn't explain the sudden changes." Bruce thought to himself for a moment.

"Wouldn't this fit the criteria of bipolar disorder?" Natasha asked with a thumb on her jaw as she thought along.

"No. Bipolar doesn't shift this rapidly. This doesn't really fit any criteria I can think of. The closest it comes to is..." Bruce paused as (Y/N) seemed to stare off into space blankly before suddenly returning again.

"This is quite an interesting doctor's visit. Never thought Bruce would be my clinician." He said with a charming smile, his pupils now round. Bruce just sighed.

"Split personality disorder." He finished his sentence.

"What?" Steve blinked a few times.

"You mean dissociative identity disorder? They renamed it, right?" Natasha quizzed.

"No. That's completely different. I'm talking a theoretical disorder that I'm not sure I've seen or heard of before. D.I.D would mean there's more than one (Y/N) in there." Bruce motioned to the man's head. "By split personality, I mean his emotions have taken on a form of their own."

"That's a thing?" (Y/N) looked at him, slightly fearful.

"When his eyes are thin, his anger, pride, envy, and even bloodlust form into one personality. But like this..." He looked over the man again. "Sadness, grief, guilt, and surprisingly respect forms into this one."

"Well, how do we fix it?" Steve looked between the two other men. Bruce turned around looking like he was about to drop knowledge of Area 51.

"I... have no clue." He stated.

"You've got to be kidding me." Natasha put her head in her hands.

"You can't do something to help?" (Y/N) slid off of the chair he had been sat on.

"This is a completely new discovery. It'd take years for even a group of skilled doctors and scientists to figure out how to help. I guess we just have to leave it and hope you get better." Bruce said, making (Y/N) sighed and pinch the bridge of his nose. "I'm sorry." Bruce added, slowly turning towards the door.

Steve made his way over to his friend, placing a hand in his shoulder. The other man looked up at him.

"Well, this is just great." (Y/N) exhaled.

"Don't worry. We'll figure something out." Steve forced a smile at him. In reality he was scared that they wouldn't be able to help him at all. Natasha joined them, placing an arm around (Y/N).
