"Yeah, I think so." She said, unsure of herself.

Y/n breathed in and thought back to Jean. She needed to remind herself to stop being bratty, because like Armin was now doing with Hitch, Y/n had been hanging out with Jean. And Armin had always been supportive of that.

Y/n sighed out and ignored her jealous tendencies, cursing human nature. Annoyed with herself (and partially with Hitch), Y/n blanked out for a while and instead focused on the game, which was hard to even watch seeing as how Paradis was losing badly.

By the end of the night, Paradis had lost their first game of the season to Marley, and Y/n couldn't help but wince when the game was called. She saw Eren in the distance throwing his helmet on the ground with a harsh scowl, and Jean placed a hand on the brunette's shoulder to calm him down. Jean looked equally as perturbed.

Hitch had stopped mid conversation with Armin to glance over at the scoreboard.

"Oh? Did we lose?" she asked.

"Huh?"

Armin turned to look at the score and saw everyone packing up, with many kids flinging their popcorn to the ground in fury and many booing at the cheering Marley players.

"What happened!" Armin exclaimed, feeling incredibly disappointed that he hadn't been able to catch most of the game. He sighed as he scanned in search of Eren, but the players of Paradis had already retreated into the locker rooms.

Annie and the others had gotten up from their seats, and Annie turned to Armin with her usual steely eyes.

"Maybe if you hadn't been talking about 'Pumpkin Spice' moisturizers, you might have seen how brutally Marley beat us," the girl said, slightly shooting a look at Hitch, who had given her a migraine from talking so much. With that said, Annie turned and went up the bleachers, making her way over to the locker rooms to wait and see Reiner and Bertholdt. Mikasa, Marco and Y/n followed, with Y/n shooting Armin an apologetic look.

Armin merely groaned and called out to Annie.

"Thanks for the tip, Annie. Really helpful."

"Anytime," the blonde girl responded back dryly without turning.

"Hey, Armin?"

"Yes, Hitch?"

"So did we lose?"

After a while of waiting patiently outside of the locker room, the group finally saw Eren and Jean.

The door was flung open violently, and out came Eren, gripping tightly onto the strap of his duffel bag. Jean followed the brunette and did a double take at how the doors slammed.

"You ok, Eren?" Y/n asked quietly as soon as Eren came up to the group.

Eren glared at the girl.

"Does it look like I'm ok to you?"

Y/n's eyes went wide, and she looked down at her shoes, closing her mouth and staying quiet.

"Eren, don't take this out on her." Jean scowled at the brunette as he walked over to pat Y/n on the head.

Eren frowned at the ground and breathed out lengthily. His eyes softened a bit and he looked up.

"I'm sorry, Y/n, I know you meant well. I just— I just really wanted us to win!" he exclaimed, balling his fists. "But those damn Marley players—! It's like they knew every play we were making!"

Just as he said that, Reiner and Bertholdt appeared.

Reiner greeted them all and turned to Eren.
