Everyday, it's important to look in the mirror and say "it's okay"
It's okay because you have a job
It's okay because you tried
It's okay because you have lots of time to become happy and find love
It's okay because you are alive
You aren't a failure
You aren't a monster
I know you've grown
I know you tried and are still trying
That you fought and are still fighting
I know you went through hell and walked out with scars
In case you've never heard this, I love you
You are handsome
You are beautiful
You are everything in between
You are strong
And I am proud of you
It must be said though
There will be a lot of hardships in this life
Things are going to get worse
But you'll survive
You'll have to
And I know you feel like no one is there for you
But I am
I'm sorry for the things I've done to you
And I'm sorry for the choices I've made
But I'll do my best now
I see your tears
And I feel your pain
The anguish will last for a very long time
But you have to say
"It'll be okay"
And if it never is
Well, that's okay too
