"She's pretty cute," he said, preparing himself to walk up to the unlucky gal.

Bertholdt, with his unintentionally offensive comments, spoke up in time to stop the brunette from making a fool out of himself.

"But doesn't she sort of look like Reiner? I didn't know you were into that sort of thing, Eren."

Jean quickly moved to cover his mouth and cackled as he saw Eren's hopeful smirk turn into a look of pure disgust and betrayal.

"What the fuck are you on, Bertholdt! Gross!"

Eren ripped his eyes away from the girl and turned to glare at Bertholdt, who was busy looking all over the beach while Jean kept dying of laughter.

Reiner glared at Eren.

"Hey, what's wrong with a chick that looks like me? I'd say I'm pretty good looking."

Eren scrunched his nose up and deadpanned.

"Reiner, you'd be the ugliest girl in the whole world"

Taking full offense, Reiner scoffed and puffed his chest.

"I wouldn't be as ugly as an Eren-lina."

"You take that back! I'd be the baddest bitch in this whole joint."

"Congrats, you both don't need to be girls to be ugly. Now, stop messing around and come help pitch this tent."

The boys looked over to find Annie glaring coldly at them as she and the others did all of the work to set up their canopy against the sun.

Bertholdt was swift to make his way towards Annie and help her out, with Eren and Reiner dejectedly following behind while Jean made fun of the two.

Connie and Sasha had gone off to retrieve sand buckets, toy shovels, and various other beach supplies from the car. Y/n struggled to pull the long table open that Sasha had brought to put their snacks on top of.

The girl huffed and tried to pry the wretched thing open before resorting to asking Jean next to her for help.

"Hey, Johnny-boy, think you could give me a hand? Please?"

Jean turned from where he was standing and nodded, barely taking a step forward before a certain blonde came barreling through.

"I got it!"

Armin, seemingly appearing from nowhere, waltzed over and nearly pushed Jean aside as he placed himself opposite of where Y/n was, smiling cutely at the girl and feeling content with helping her out.

Jean raised a brow at the blonde before rolling his eyes and shaking his head. He wasn't really surprised by Armin's eagerness to be near Y/n. He wondered why Y/n gave up on trying to confess, seeing as how Armin was so clearly enamored with the girl.

Flustered, Y/n smiled.

"Thanks, Min."

"You're welcome!"

The table and the canopy were set up, along with the chairs and the towels and, of course, Sasha's stockpile of chips and soda.

Y/n immediately called dibs on the sand pail, shovels and molds, and she scurried off to find a nice plot of sand to settle on.

She messily dug into the moist sand with her hands and smoothed out a flat area to begin construction. She was feeling giddy and had a wide smile on her face, and Armin found her enthusiasm endearing.

"What are you going to make?" The blonde asked.

Y/n looked up at the boy with a twinkle in her eyes.
