Chapter Twenty-Four

"How about we leave the both of them to talk, Ae?" Aunt Minyeon asked my Mom. Wow. Are they that close to the point of first name basis already?

We're the only ones left. Everyone was already resting in each of their respective houses. Just how big is this compound, really. 

"Oh yes, Min. Of course." Mom responded, squealing. She grabbed my Dad arms who was resisting to leave me with Taehyung. 

I guess my Dad's protectiveness of me is appearing now that he came to know the truth about me and Taehyung.

"Mom, Dad" I called. I excuse myself from Taehyung. "I'll be right back" He smiled and nodded.

I looked at my parents. Aunt Minyeon nodded and excused herself. 

"I-" I stuttered. I don't know  where to start, what am I going to say first. Do I say my sorry first or asked them about my identity being a part-dragon? 

They suddenly hugged me. I took a deep breath and exhaled loudly. I was trying myself not to cry. "We understand." Dad said. 

"We're so proud of you, Jisoo." Mom stated. This made me burst into tears. I'm so lucky to have such an understanding parents. They're so amazing.

We pulled away from the embrace. Dad wiped my tears away.

"Before I met your Dad, Chung-ha" Mom glanced at Dad, smiling. "I met your father in Ulsan. It just happened. We fell in love and then we had you."

"What?" I stared at her, openmouthed. "You never told me that."

She smiled. "I listen to my heart, Jisoo. It never steered me wrong."

And that was why mom's faith in paranormal, the goodwill of people, and in love was damned unshakable. 

"I hope you'll listen to yours without question, too." She added.

I smiled at them and nodded. It didn't matter if my dragon half or my human half had chosen Taehyung as my mate. 

My heart was still mine and it said: Taehyung's the one. Go for it.

"Now, go on. Before I snatch you back from him." Dad stated. Mom and I both laugh.

I leaned down and kissed Mom on the cheek. Then I tip-toed and gave Dad a hug. I felt teary again.

I smiled at them once more and turned away, walking towards Taehyung. He and his mom were serious, talking about something, Jin was also there who came out of nowhere..

"I guess you're done. I'll go with your parents, Jisoo dear. Don't worry. I'll accompany them for you." Aunt Min said.

"Thanks, Aunt Min." I smiled at her. She then went to my parents and they started walking away.

"What are you guys talking about?" I looked at Jin and Taehyung. Jin was smirking was Taehyung was looking at anywhere but me.

"I guess I better go now. Congratulations!" Jin said. "And good luck." He chuckle. He started walking away, waving his hand goodbye.

I was confused. Why is he talking about? And why is Taehyung acting weird?

"Tae? Babe, what's he talking about?" I asked.

"Uh, let's go." He said, and turned his back on me. He started walking in the opposite direction where everyone had gone to.

"Where are we going?" I asked, more confused.

He cleared her throat and turned to look at me. "We're going to continue what we started."

That just got me more confused but I followed him as he started walking again.

We arrived at a small bungalow. It has reminded me of Taehyung's destroyed home. It was cozy and quite neat. It was quite my type of place.

As we got inside, Taehyung suddenly kissed me as he closed the door behind us. I was quite startled but after, I responded back with the same intensity.

I pulled away and smiled brightly at him. 

"Why the smile?" Taehyung asked. "Something made you happy?"

"Yeah," I said, "You"

"You make me happy, too babe," He leaned his forehead into mine. "So much"

"Say, shall we shower?" he said. "Together?"

I pulled away. My stomach squeezed as anticipation rolled through me. "Oh, so this is what you mean finishing what we started?" 

I crossed my arms. "I thought it was something serious." I rolled my eyes. 

Even I know how much I wanted Taehyung, Damn, I am well known how impulsive this emotions I'm having every time he's around and I know he is, too. 

We felt the same way for each other. 

But still, I wanted to tease him for a bit. 

"But I am serious, Soo." His face was pressed, his voice became authoritative. "I want to claim you now."

"I love you, Soo. I promise to honor, respect and protect you to the best of my ability." He added. Pulling my waist closer to his body. 

I gulped. My heart jumped in excitement. Everything he said was everything I could ever wished for and he said it with full of weight, longing and love.

"Y-you forgot to say that you'll obey me," I said, feeling all shy.

He grinned, "I think we'll both skip that one." He brushed my hair away from my face. "Is there anything you want to say to me, too?" He said, teasing me. 

I know damn well, how red I probably am for blushing as hell.

But damn, this man is just too charming.

I exhaled deeply to calm my beating heart and stare at him with great contentment as I answer. I want my words to reached him.

"I love you, too Tae. I don't know what the future holds us but I look forward to this amazing journey." I put his palm over my tattoo. "My heart beats for you."

"And mine would beat for you," he said softly. "Though its not beating anymore, but you get what I mean."

I chuckled. He leans in right after, and so we shared a kiss once more.
