Taehyung leapt from the bed and ran out to the bedroom.
I yelped.
The fire itself didn't harm us but the bed covers and furniture near weren't so lucky. I sat up and patted the covers. I only made it worse. My fire keeps adding to the flames.
Taehyung return with a fire extinguisher. He aimed and white foam exploded.
"Are you kidding me?" I shouted.
"Sorry, babe." He said. He put down the extinguisher. He was trying hard no to laugh.
"Not funny, Tae." I wiped off my chest. I stared down at the spot above my right breast. "What's this?"
"I-I have one, too."
On both of our chest was the same mark. A circle about the size of a coin with three slanted lines through the middle.
"Is this the vampire mark bound?" I asked.
"No. When we claim others. We leave our vampire marks on them but can only be seen by other vampires. This, this is different." He explained.
"Do you think it's something to do us being dragon mate or something?"
"I-I think so" He walked to the bed and sat down. He holds my hand. I smiled at him and he smiled back.
"Let's get cleaned up." He said and led me to the bathroom.
As we both went down after deciding to watch a movie. We were face with an older woman, maybe in her 50's. She was a petite woman with such sophisticated aura.
Her eyes were brown and sharp just like Taehyung's.
Taehyung suddenly let go of my hand. My brows arched at the sudden behavior. Why did he do that? And who was this woman in front of us, anyway?
"Who is she?" I asked in a whisper.
"My mother" Taehyung replied. His gaze was still at the woman in front of us.
"H-how did you got here, Mom?" Taehyung went to her and kissed her cheek. The woman's gaze never left me. I shivered. Her gaze was too intimidating. I suddenly got nervous.
"What is a human doing inside your house, Taehyung?" Her eyebrows knitted. "Don't tell me you're doing raw supplies now?"
My eyes widen at what she just said. Does she think I'm some kind of food supply for Taehyung?!
"Uh, no. S-she's a friend, mom. She's just visiting."
I look at Taehyung and he immediately look away. What the hell?! Really? After what just happened to us? I scoffed.
"Why don't we sit down. Mom?" Taehyung said. "Uh, can you give us a sec, Soo?" He glanced back at me.
I started marching to the kitchen, not even giving him a glance. I didn't want to join them anyway. The woman made one last glare at me then turned her back to sit on the couch.
I was scared of the woman's stinging stares. If looks could kill, I would dead by now.
And Taehyung, damn that jerk! After what we did? Does he make out with someone and just call them friends?!
After a minute or so, Taehyung appeared. I rolled my eyes at him.
"So I'm good enough to sleep with but not good enough to tell to your mother, huh?" I felt so betrayed.
"Jisoo. I-I don't have time to explain. Just please, do understand. Just this once."
"Why?! Why is it so hard to explain? Are you ashamed of me? Is it because I'm a human and you're a vampire?! Were part dragons, we-"
"That's the point. You're a dragon. She-" We then heard a loud thud upstairs.
"I-I don't have time for this. I need to get Chae first. I'll explain everything after I get back."
I glare at him. "I guess that how easy this relationship for you, huh?" I scoffed. "And we just barely even started."
"Of course not. You know damned well what I felt for you. I said those words and I mean it, Soo."
"But the difference is, I won't separate you from the other parts of my life. I'm all in, Taehyung. With everything and everyone, that comes with you."
"Are you, Jisoo?" He scoffed. "If you could leave here now, you would. You only stayed because you don't have a choice."
"Yeah, maybe you're right," My voice cracked. I'm holding myself not to cry. "But I'm here. Standing in front you right now, because I want to. And that's also my own choice."
He opened his mouth to respond, but I held my hand in front of his face to stop him from talking no more.
I'd had enough of this drama. I've come to this town just to investigate reports of paranormal activity. Instead, I've found out I'm a dragon and fell in love with a vampire.
"If you're going out. Take me with you. I'll stay at Jin's." I said.
"What? No!" His voice sounded louder. He closes his eyes and took a deep breath. "Please, Soo. Just stay here. Let's talk about this after I got back home. Please." He pleaded.
I looked away and nodded.
"Thank you." He went closer and give me a sudden embrace. "I promise I'll be fast."

After Taehyung left, I went to his bedroom again. I looked around for his phone.
I have two choices. Let PRIS come to Jeju to make them shoot laser beams (no, I'm not kidding) or tell Taehyung the truth.
Damn, this situation was my fault. But how could anyone blame me for wanting to help my parents and know that they're alive?
I spotted the phone on his nightstand. I sighed in relief. I was glad he didn't bring it with him. I guess he was such in a hurry, he forgot it.
"All fine in Jeju. Stay at home. Will call soon."
I plugged in Mom and Uncle Seo Joon's number.
After I sent it, I immediately deleted it right after. I crept out and went back to the living room.

I picked up the remote and sat on the couch.
"In Jeju, an unexpected body of fire continues. The most recent blaze happened only hours ago in a western part of Jeju forest."
The screen shifted from a newscaster man in his 30's to the video footage of the raging fire.
"Eight people were injured," He stated. "Investigators still cannot found out the cause of this fire incidents. The location seems too random: First, an old abandoned barn, next a certain house up in the north then lastly this recent incident in the forest.
I watched each video footage played. A sudden thought then run through my mind. What if a dragon have lobbed a fireball at it?
