Chapter Nine

I woke up in darkness. The bed underneath me was really comfortable and the sheets were very soft. I felt like I'm wrapped up in clouds.

After we got into Taehyung's house, were already both exhausted. After he led me to the room where I will be staying. 

He gave me a pair of pajamas and I hurriedly took a bath to sleep soundly after.

I reach the light lamp in the shelf just beside the bed. I stretched. 

Suddenly, I realized the pajamas I'm wearing fits me perfectly, it definitely belongs to a woman.

My heart sank at the thought. Does Taehyung have someone in his life?

Now that I noticed it. The room was red and white motif from the bed to the furniture. The place looks like it belongs to a woman.  

With great taste, too. I like the style but I prefer colored-motif purple instead, its my favorite color.

I sighed and got up from the bed. Right after going out of the room, I suddenly smelled something burning. I immediately went down and witness Taehyung in the kitchen.

"Oh my God. What happened here?" I exclaimed.

He managed to glance at me for a second and throw a burnt pancake in the sink.

He sighed. "Well, I was trying to cook something for breakfast. But I-" He couldn't look at me and just starts rubbing the back of his neck.

I stop myself from laughing. "Goodness, Tae. Your kitchen's a mess. Are you sure you know how to cook?"

"To be honest, I don't" He stared at me blankly.

My eyebrows rose in amusement. "I just want to cook something-," He paused and looked at me. "for you," He stated. I blushed at the thought.

I grabbed the pan out from his hand and washed it. "Let me do it."

Before he could protest. I started cracking two eggs. I glance at him while he starts throwing the eggs and bacon he cooked. It was burnt, too.

I couldn't hold it anymore. I started laughing while he did, too.

We are currently eating breakfast right now. I glance at him while he's gulping the food in front of him, nonstop.

"Hey, eat slowly or else you'll--" Too late. He was starting to choke. I hurriedly give him a glass of water and he drank it immediately.

He took a deep breath. "Thank you" He said in a whisper.

I chuckle. He's so cute. He's eating so well. Wait, how can he eat when he's a vampire? "I didn't know vampires can eat?"

He swallowed hard then glanced at me. "We do now, actually most of the creatures. As times goes by, we evolved," He winked. "This is a great thing to do to blend in with humans, too."

I nodded a few times. Wow. I didn't know that. I studied and know that some creatures do but I didn't know vampires can.

"Do you live alone?" I look at the place. It was nice. It's not that big but it was cozy.

"Uh, yeah." He look away.

"For how long have you been here?" I asked.

"Um, alone? its been 2 years, I guess."

"Wow. That long? You lived alone in here for 2 years. I would not survive if I were you. I'd be lonely." I chuckle a little.

He suddenly straightened his back and lean at the back of his chair. He cleared his throat.

"Actually, no. I got some company before," He look at me. "My fiancé was with me."

"Oh," I look down at my plate. He really has someone. Well, that would explain the room I was staying in. Wait, did he say "was"?

"Where is she now?" I didn't dare to look at him anymore. I grabbed a glass of juice and start drinking it.

"She died," I suddenly look at him. He was already staring at me. 

Suddenly, he smiled. "You guys already met, actually." What? Then it hit me, at the cemetery. The first time we met.

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay. It's been 2 years already."

Silence then came. We just proceed to eat, minding our business.

Guess, this is her pajama I'm wearing, too huh. I laugh at myself. Why do I sound so jealous? It's not like Taehyung and I have something real between us. 

Yeah, there may be this spark but it was because this fire inside us that made us feel connected to each other.

Yeah right.. Who are you kidding? You know it yourself how attracted you are to the man the first time you both met at the cemetery.

Well, better keep it to yourself, Kim Jisoo. It's not like anything's going to happen. 

Aside from, Taehyung just probably wants me beside him just because of the dragon situation, a human and a vampire just cannot be together. It's against the law of nature.

After were done, we started cleaning out the table together. We heard a knock on the front door. "I'll go get it." He said. I nodded and proceed to put the plates in the sink.

As I was beginning to wash the dishes. I heard someone shouted.

"WHERE THE FUCK IS SHE, TAEHYUNG?!"

I look at my back. I saw Namjoon approaching me. He look so furious.

"Namjoon? What is happening?" I asked. Taehyung was stopping Namjoon from going near me.

"What the hell did you do, huh?!" He hissed.

"What are you talking about?" I asked. Why does he look so upset?

"Jimin! What did you do to him?!" He yelled at me. I was startled.

"W-what do you mean?!" I asked again. Jimin? Why? I thought he was doing okay yesterday when we left at the lab.

"Calm down, Joon!" Taehyung forcibly grabbed shoulders to face him. "Explain to us what happened. What happened to Jimin?" He glanced at me and back to Taehyung.

Suddenly, the door opens with a loud thud and we saw Jungkook and Lisa panting abnormally.

"Joon!" Jungkook shouted, panting while Lisa stumble at the ground breathing heavily raising her index finger.

"W-we should head back to Jennie's," she exhaled loudly then continued "all of us." She said, looking at me.
