"Ma why are we up early as hell? Dinner doesn't start until later," I complained as I helped her prep the food.
"Because my mama used to do this, to me and my siblings every year. So it's only right," I rolled my eyes, Ajani and Honesty came downstairs tiredly.
As did Essence. He had took his braids down yesterday so it was out and free. "So is dad joining us?" She shrugged her shoulders.
"He wants Miya to join us," I scoffed, "No way in hell, please tell me she isn't coming here?"
"I told him not, to come if he's bringing her." I sighed, "So dads not coming at all?" Ajani chimed in, "I don't know,"
"Just help me with the food, then y'all can go about your business!"
"Sure thing,"
