He awoke with a groan as a rather heavy body plopped unto his chest and stomach.

"Wake up Riley"

Emily drawled poking his cheeks.

"I'm up, I'm up"
He mumbled before turning on his side, carrying the little along with him.

They ended up spooning for a few minutes as Riley drifted in and out of sleep, whilst Emily waited on him.

Eventually the door was thrown open and both littles flew up and out of bed.

"Emily I told you to bring him downstairs not to join him"

"Sorry Hailey, but he wasn't waking up"

"I'm up, I'm up"
Was all the sleepy boy could mumble before unconciously heading out of the room and down the stairs.

It took him a couple of minutes but eventually Riley was wide awake and greeted his family members at the breakfast table. His two friends joining them a few seconds later.

"Thank you girls"

Marissa smiled at the two who had successfully gotten her son down for breakfast.

"You're welcome"
They responded simultaneously before digging into the food.

"Honey the makeup artist and the hair stylist will be here at 4 to get you guys ready alright make sure you have a shower before that"

"Alright, thanks mom"

"What about me?"

Beth whined.

"You'll have someone else"

"Oh okay"

Soon they fell into a comfortable silence. The only sound was the occassional knife hitting the glass plates.

"I guess it would be disrespectful for me to ask you to wear a suit and tie tonight"

The sound halted everyone in their tracks and they all glanced up at Jonathan Frost with disbelief clear in their gazes.

"Yes"

Everyone responded simultaneously after recovering from the initial shock.

"Atleast I asked this time"

He smirked before wiping his mouth and getting to his feet to then exit the room.

"He makes me so mad"

Hailey mumbled to herself stabbing at the eggs in her plate.

Marissa silently plotted all the ways she would confront her husband without making a scene and the others just glanced at their plates stewing in restrained anger.

After the meal they all headed to their rooms.

"I'm so sorry he said that Riley"

"It's okay, I've actually grown used to it"

"No it really isn't and the fact that you're accustomed to it is concerning"

"There's nothing I can do Em. He hates me, my own dad hates me"

The tears slowly rolled down his rosy cheeks. He couldn't believe this was where their relationship as father and son had ended up.

Unsurprisingly the little one blamed himself.

Maybe if he liked girls his father would love him.

Maybe if he didn't dress like the opposite gender his dad could accept the way he was.
