Chapter 19.

"What's wrong with him?"

Hailey queried she was engrossed in conversation with Alfie for most of the night, the two really hit it off and they exchanged numbers just incase they didn't get to when they were leaving.

However, she had looked over in time to see Riley acting very weird.

"Nothing, he's completely fine"

Nikolai was still cold towards her because of the mix up earlier. He didn't mean to, but the image of Riley's teary eyes was still engraved in his mind and he didn't want the younger to associate his little space with pain.

He returned his attention to the bubbly little boy and a small smile graced his own face.

"Baba, we go home now?"

"We'll have dessert and then Hailey will take you home"

"B-but I's want to go home wit chu"

"I want you to come with me as well, but you already promised Hailey you'd stay with her. Besides you'll have me this weekend"

"But I alweady stayed wit her I wanna gos wit you now"
He frowned.

"Bub, she'll be very sad if you don't go with her. Do you want your friend to be sad?"

He gasped and looked over at Hailey who was curiously studying them.

"She cwy too?"

"Yes she'll cry without you"

"I's no want that, I go home wit Hailey then sorry baba"

"It's okay, I understand"

"Baba cwy without Wiley?"

"No bub, but I do miss you"

"I miss you too"

He grinned hugging the larger male and crawling into his lap.

"Riley we are in a restaurant"

"So?"

Nikolai shook his head amused by the younger's boldness and decided against asking him to go back to his seat. He was enjoying the close proximity as well.

They had molten chocolate cakes for dessert and Nikolai who didn't fancy sweets gave his own to Riley, due to the small size of the treat he knew it would be okay for the little.

After cleaning him up they paid the bill and walked out.

"Bub remember to call me when you get home, Hailey if he forgets or falls asleep call me and let me know okay?"

"Got it"
She responded before turning to Alfie and pulling him into a hug.

She whispered in his ear for him to use her number as well then she entered the backseat of the awaiting car.

"Bye bye, I's gonna miss you"

"I'll miss you as well"

Riley surprised him by planting a kiss on his lips then practically leaping into the car.

He smirked then waved them off.

As soon as theu were out of sight he too went to his own vehicle with a bouncing Alfie.

"Drop us at his house first"

He told his driver before they settled into their seats and were off as well.

He woke up with a small yawn before scratching his head and taking a look around the room.

Riley rubbed his eyes and got up going to the bathroom immediately as he notuced he was still in his dress from the day before.
