It was the morning after Carolyn left and she was coming over again to come visit and get to know the kids a bit better, Carolyn was staying in Seattle for a few months at least, Dereks sisters were also coming to visit with their husbands and kids

It would be a good way for their kids to bond with their cousins, the kids had never really seen their cousins the only cousin they've ever really seen is Amelias son scout considering him and Amelia do live with them

Derek was cooking while Meredith was getting the girls ready and when Carolyn came over she would help because she knows how to cook large meals hence the fact that she has five kids and like 40 grandkids

Meredith has only ever met Lizzie, Nancy and Amelia and she never liked any of them in the beginning, she HATED Amelia when she met her, she didn't really like Lizzie in the beginning but she learned to like her, and Nancy never really liked her so she felt the same way

Knock knock

Meredith went to the front door while Derek was still at the stove, and answered

"Carolyn, hi come in" Meredith smiled

They shared a hug which Meredith had started to get use to

"Derek, have you learned nothing from the 47 years you've been alive for, move I'll do it if you don't know how too" Carolyn scolded Derek and moved him out of the way and stated adding things to the pot

Derek came and stood next to Meredith

"At least someone knows what their doing" Meredith giggled

"I knew what I was doing" Derek defended

"Yea, if you were trying to make poison" Carolyn said while adding things to the pan

"Okay well I'm going to go check on Bailey, see how he's feeling and see if he's okay to attend" Meredith said

"Ih how is bailey doing Meredith" Carolyn asked

"He's doing a little better but he's still feeling sick, I'm pretty sure he has the flu"

"I remember when Derek had the flu when he was younger, not a child but at least 17, whenever he had the flu he slept completely naked, we always had to be carful when you walked in so you didn't see anything"

"MA" Derek shouted

"What Derek she's not wrong it was a scary thing to see when you're 12" Amelia said as she walked into the room holding a sleeping scout

"Well it's not my fault you never knocked"

"It's you're fault you never locked the door"

"Ok ok, enough children stay quiet while I go check on the real child" Meredith said and went upstairs to go check on Bailey

"She's good" Carolyn smiled

"Yea, she keeps me in line" Derek smiled

"Not to mention the fact that she treats us like children" Amelia replied

"Well you two as to like two kids fighting over a toy in the park so it's you're fault" Maggie said as she walked into the room

"We do not!" They both said in shock as Carolyn just laughed at them from the kitchen happy that her two youngest hadn't changed a bit.

Meredith was checking on bailey. She went into his room and found his shivering in his bed as he was also sweating

"Oh sweetie" Meredith said sympathetically and walked over to his bed and sat next to his as she pulled him into her lap and held him there as he cried a bit and she whispered sweet little nothings into his ear.

After a bit Meredith decided Bailey was still to suck to be playing around with his cousins so she picked him up and brought him in the bathroom and sat him down on the counter and grabbed a cloth and made it wet with some cold water and dabbed it on his forehead a bit hoping that would help.

She got him changed into some new clothes and carried him back downstairs on her hip as he held his face onto her shoulder. She went into the kitchen cabinet and grabbed a bottle of medicine for him and then filled up a sippy cup with water and brought him over to the couch and sat him down next to her.

"No, mama, yucky" he said as he pushed her hand away as she held out a syringe of medicine for him

"I know, but this will make you feel better" She said as she rubbed his arm

"No" he said as he loved to the other side of the couch

"Do you want some juice instead?" She asked As he nodded his head a bit

"Stay here" she said as she walked back into the kitchen and dumped the water out into the sink and filled it with orange juice and then squeezed the medicine into the juice then put the lid back on and brought it back to bailey and handed him the cup as he started drinking and she waited to see if he would notice.

"His it good?" She asked

"Yea" he said as he started drinking more and then she noticed his shirt was off again as she did put him in a button up so it was easier to take off

"You don't wanna where a shirt today?" She asked as she picked up his shirt. He didn't reply as he was still drinking his juice as it looked more like he was chugging it and shook his head no a bit

"Okay then, no shirt, you're gonna be like you're father" she sighed and patted his head as she walked around the couch to put his shirt away

"What is that supposed to mean?" He asked a little offended

"It's mean you never wanna where a shirt" Meredith said as she put baileys shirt away

"Yes, I do, I'm wearing a shirt right now" he said pointing to his shirt

"Yea, for now" she smirked and went and sat back down next to bailey and pulled him into her as he leaned his head onto her side as he drank his juice.

Yea, so I haven't updated this in a while...😅
