Chapter Nine: The Night neither of us will forget

''Hey, Caitlin can we talk...'' I said walking into Star Labs when I saw Barry.

''Hey Barry'' I said biting my lip, which Barry soon noticed.

''Hey Nina.'' He said

''Something wrong? ........ '' He said

''What would you say that?" I said

''Your doing that cute thing; when you bit your lower lip when something is wrong or bothering you.'' He said

''It's that you, Iris and everyone around me is doing something they're passionate about it.'' I said

''What do you mean?" He said

''Like you are a CSI/The Flash helping people and with Iris she's has a job at picture news, a journalist reporter. But with me I'm just a girl who has no clue what to do with her life while, working at jitters. '' I said.

''Something wrong? ........ '' He said

''What would you say that?" I said

''Your doing that cute thing; when you bit your lower lip when something is wrong or bothering you.'' He said

''It's that you, Iris and everyone around me is doing something they're passionate about it.'' I said

''What do you mean?" He said

''Like you are a CSI/The Flash helping people and with Iris she's has a job at picture news, a journalist reporter. But with me I'm just a girl who has no clue what to do with her life while, working at jitters. '' I said

''You'll find something or you won't'' He said

''Well you don't have to be a rude about it.'' I said and then we both laughed.

''I become a CSI because of my mom and The Flash because of Wells, so.....'' He said

''I guess we are quite the pair, Barry'' I said

''Yes we are.'' He said and then we got alert that there was a robbery, Barry dashed off. Later that evening I get a call from Barry while I was heading home.

''Hey, what's up?" I said

''Remember that Bar, Caitlin was talking about it with our certain robbers?" He asked

''Yea. Why?" I said

''I was going to check them out, would you like to come at all?" He said

''Sure, see you in a bit.'' I said and then I rushed home and changed into something more Bar like. I walked into the bar which Barry noticed and he just stares.

''What?'' I said

''Nothing, it's just you look beautiful.'' He said

''Thanks.'' I said and he sighs.

''What's wrong with you?" I said

''I keep making the same mistakes, every time Iris falls I pick her up but I keep thinking that one of these times will be different.....'' he said

''Well at least your not the girl who likes this guy and gives all the clues that she likes him.'' I said

''What's wrong with us? Were in our twenties, we should be having fun, meeting new people...'' he said

''Here's to a fresh start.'' I said and drank strawberry alcoholic drink and chugged it down.

''Well that's very fast.'' He said and then Barry walked up to the bartender and that's when I walked on stage.

''Mr. Barry Allen, come on down or up. I don't know which one.'' I said and he kept signally no and then I started chanting his name and everyone else joined in.

''I'm not much of a singer and you're not a much of a drinker.'' He said finally coming up the stage beside me. We started singing Karaoke summer nights from Grease. After we left the stage I headed to the bathroom. When I was out, I saw Barry talking to some hot girl. Which I got a pit in my stomach.

''Hey, Barry. I don't feel so good. Can you take me home.'' I said and he quickly did.

''So, Barry are you going to call her?" I said and then I motioned my hands to turn away so I can change and he did.

''Who?'' He said

''That girl, Linda'' I said

''I haven't really thought about it.'' He said

''Little help please?'' I said a bit drunk and Barry super speed me into my comfy PJ's.

''Look at that saving me from another evil dress.'' I said

''Get in bed'' He said and I got into bed and he tucked me in also. Then he headed out until I stopped him.

''Hey, Barry'' I said

''Yea.'' He said

''Can you stay with me until I fall asleep.'' I said and then I patted the area beside me.

''Sure.'' He said, laying on top of the sheets where he put his arm around me. While I snuggled up to him and laid my head on his chest. He soon kissed my forehead and then I fell asleep.
