I was aimlessly walking around an empty park not really having any destination in mind.

"Hey pretty boy! Where ya going?" Someone yelled

Ignoring the voice I quickened my pace.

"HEY! We're talking to you!" Another voice yelled

This time I stopped and turned around to see two muscular tall guys walking in my direction

"Me?" I asked in a small voice

"No gayboy the other guy in the park" blondie replied in a sarcastic tone

"Now it looks like you got some money on ya, wouldn't you say Ash?" The dark haired boy spoke to Ash

"Yeah, look at his clothes and do you see that iPhone 6 in his pocket" Ash chuckled

They were now only inches from me.

"I-uh" I was cut off by yet another voice booming from behind me

"Ashton, Calum leave the kid alone!" Now the voice was right behind me

"And what are you gonna do about it, Luke?" Calum sneered

Luke was now right beside me. He had icy blue eyes and dirty blonde hair, he was quite tall at least 6 feet.

"You know what happened last time, do you really want it to happen again?" Luke said his tattooed arms crossed over his chest

"Whatever" Ashton spat under his breath before turning around and walking off with Calum hot on his trail.

Luke turns on his heels and starts to walk off.

"Wait!" I called after him. He turns back around waiting for me to continue

"Thank you" I say

"Yeah no problem those guys are always trying to cause trouble" he said with an eye roll

"Uh I um I'm Connor" I say sprinting to catch up to him

"Luke. Luke Hemmings" he says glancing down at me out to the corner of his eyes

We walked in silence for awhile until I spoke again.

"Uh where are you going?"

He played with his lip ring before answering

"I'm going to go get my eyebrow pierced and then I'm going to get food" he said with no emotion

"Oh um can I- can I come?" I don't know what it is but I don't want us to go separate ways

"Sure I guess" he shrugged

I smiled to myself and continued to walk beside I'm in a pace that matched his.

We soon arrived at a tattoos shop.

"Hey Mark" Luke said as soon as we walked in

"Aye Luke how's it going" Mark said 'bro hugging' him

"Good man, what about you?"

"Good, so what can I do for you?" Mark asks still not acknowledging my presence.

"I want to get my eyebrow pierced" Luke nodded his head at the end of his sentence

"Ok and you?" Mark asks looking at me

"Oh I don't want anything" I said putting my hands up

"Ok" he says motioning for Luke to follow. He did and I was left on my own

Minutes later Luke and Mark were back and Luke's right eyebrow was pierced and may I say he pulled it off very well. It went good with his lip ring, earrings and tattoos.

"Time to go" Luke said snapping me out of my thoughts.

I followed him out the door and on to the cool streets of L.A. We walked in silence until we got to a small pizza place.

"So you're obviously not from here. Where are you from?" I ask

"Sydney, Australia" he says

"Oh what brought you to California?"

"I just needed to get away"

"I know what that's like" I mumble not really meaning for him to hear me

"What do you mean?" He questions

"It's a long story"

"I've got time"

"Of course you do, ok let's make deal if I tell you what I meant you tell me what you meant okay?"

"Okay"
