Chapter 12 (No detention)

My beautiful smile had faded away and left me sweating like hell. I was standing at the principal's office alongside Brett.
"Kissing in class in front of a teacher! How disrespectful! Especially that behaviour from my best math student Ms Williams and I guess I underestimated you Mr Hart. "Scowled Mr Lewis.
I was so worried and all I did was stand there clinging to Brett and my fingernails digging into Brett's muscular but soft arm.

"Ouch Serena! You should really cut those things ,"he said in a painful way.

"I'm sorry Brett. It's just that I'm so nervous and this is going to be my first detention. My mom is gonna flip. "I let go off his arm and I could see the indent my nails left.

Brett rubbed his arm slightly "it's gonna be okay. It's just detention and they don't really call your parents for that. "

"Okay You two, you may come in. "A stern, but soft voice said.

We entered the office and said good morning and sat down. "So Serena tell me why you were kissing Brett? "Mr. Douglas our principal asked nicely.

I stuttered nervously, " I don't know. " with my response Brett's eyes widened and he gave me a cold look.
"There must be a reason and don't be shy now Serena . "

"I love him,"I mumbled. Brett looked at me with a Look that says I'm -more -satisfied -With -your -answer -Look.

"Excuse me, come again Ms Williams, "the principal asked With his eyes widened.

"I love him, "I stated more clearly.

The principal burst into a frenzied laughter, "wha... what... "he continued laughing, "do you kids know about love? "

"Uncle Bert, you can stop now! Geez!"I heard Brett say with a frown.
Uncle?! What the hell is going on here... my eyes widened in shock.

"I'm sorry Brett it's Just that she said she loves you,"the principal said casually.

"And what's so funny? "Brett said with a frown still on his face as he crossed his arms.
I was still dumbstrucked because I didn't know the hell was going on here.

"Nothing, but I don't think kids like you should say love. You should rather say like or crush. "

"For your information she's my girlfriend and I love her too, "Brett said reassuringly.
Girlfriend.... I'm gonna faint... he said girlfriend and love..... he said he loves me.... for the first time. I want to sing hallejuah!

"Don't go doing nothing stupid like you did With Julia! "The principal sternly stated.

"Why f*@k did you bring up julia! "Brett shouted angrily while hitting the desk.

"Remember at school I'm your principal so watch your language! I'm only trying to help you because your my brother's son and I love you. I don't want you to mess up your life with this, "Mr. Douglas shouted and gestured to me.

"Don't you dare call her 'this' she has a f*@king name Okay. "I have never seen Brett so angry before.

"Leave us in private Serena! "Ordered Mr. Douglas.

"Stay!"ordered Brett as he pointed to me.
I was puzzled... should I stay or go because Mr. Douglas is my principal ,but I didn't want to disobey Brett either. I was freaking out and they were still arguing childishly .

"Shut the f*@k up!!!! "I blurted loudly and they both stopped arguing and turned to look at me. "I can't take this anymore and I'm disappointed in you Mr. Douglas. You call your self a principal! And Brett he's an adult so respect him! "

There was silence for about three minutes until Mr . Douglas decided to speak " Get to class! "

"No detention sir, "I asked.

"No Serena your off the hook this time. "

Brett and I left his office and we didn't say a word to him or to each other. While walking in the hallway I noticed Brett had clenched fist and an angry expression. I held on to his arm and he stopped to look at me. I tipped up and kissed him on the cheek. His expression softened and he grabbed me by the waist and kissed me senselessly. Lindsey walked by and uttered an "ugh!".
Our lips broke free and we continue down the hall.
