Chapter 33 A Dangerous Encounter With The World Heavyweight Champion

A few days roll by and the Louds have been trying to get Lincoln fitted out in the perfect monster costume and so far it hasn't been going well like for example he wasn't dead scary enough as a mummy or a zombie or dirty enough to be a chupacabra or tall enough to be frankinsteins monster or devilish enough to be Satan himself etc  after multiple failed tries they were down to three options, The Vampire, The Phoenix or The Werewolf so today they'll be deciding which one best suit him.

Meanwhile Lola, Lucy and Lana were busy with their project and thanks to Lori they were about to finish it thankfully Lincoln was no longer on their back as he had more pressing matters to attend to, Lola was working on some of the stitching as she above all others wanted it to be perfect if they are gonna win his love and trust back but obviously it will take a lot more than this to fix a bond that's been broken for over 20 years.

The twins were on heading to the kitchen before heading for the mall and were shocked to see their maternal grandmother at the stove slaving away which is odd as since they arrived here it's always been either the Loud sisters or their mother or even Lynn Sr cooking they have never seen Rita cook before

Liberty: Morning Mrs Loud

Rita was surprised before she responded

Rita: Morning to you kids
Brandon: How are you doing Mrs Loud??

Rita felt a sharp pain in her heart when they addressed her as Mrs Loud and not Grandma like her other grandchildren but she knew if she didn't make that mistake back in 1967 she wouldn't be in this mess right now but she tried to remedy the situation

Rita: I'm good but why don't you two call me grandmother or grandma it's much more appropriate than Mrs Loud since you are my only son's children
Liberty: Sorry but we listen to daddy's rules and he said until he forgives you and sees you as his family again we can't forgive you either so for now we only have one grandmother, no grandfathers and 1 aunt and couple of cousins that's all our family Mrs Loud

Brandon: We are just being polite and respectful by calling you and your husband Mr and Mrs Loud unlike our parents who call you by your birth name

Rita: As offensive as it is it's not like I don't deserve it, if I only acted like a real mother 20 years ago we wouldn't be here today but I can't turn back the clock or time travel. All I can do is apologize to and ask for forgiveness from your father whose a far better parent than me
Liberty: And us you need to make things right with his kids too as we were shocked when he told us what you all did to him and you must promise us you'll never do such a thing to him or even us ever again
Rita: Alright I promise you that this will never happen again
Brandon: Ok then we'll give you guys a chance and help you win back mom and especially dad
Rita: Thanks kids, ( She hugs them) Ok whose hungry breakfast will be ready in 5?
Brandon and Liberty: We are, ( they turn to each other) Race you to the dining room table, oh it's on!

The white haires 13 year olds run off to the table while Rita goes back to the stove and thinks

Rita: I definitely must earn back their father's forgiveness and their respect I might have failed as a mother once but I'll be damned if I fail again as a mother to my only son and as a grandmother to his kids

Meanwhile with Lincoln he passed everyone and went jogging, well almost everyone as he was stretching he thought about his wife and the mother of his children Christina since she left the Loud House for a while to rekindle her relationship with her mother and other members of her family following her father's death a couple of months ago, they both attended his funeral and the Louds tried to go but both Lincoln and Christina made it clear that they other than Lily would not be welcome there now she left yesterday in her car and said she'll be gone for a few weeks up to a month and will return just before the night of the big fight, She took both Chris and baby Trish with her leaving him with only Brandon, Liberty, Diana and Jackson and also told him to try to spend more time with the Louds and hopefully bury the hatchet with them quote, unquote
And top of that on this past Saturday was his and Christina's and some of the Loud's elementary school reunion he and they attended and unsurprisingly they were the most famous people there
As he was getting ready to run his 7 miles of roadwork he sees Lori come out of the house in gym clothes too as she was a health freak and had to keep her physique as a trailblazing businesswoman which annoyed the former world heavyweight champion since the week after he came back she forced fed him her gross health food like raw eggs, salads and other crap he could only eat meat once a week as Lori imposed an stricter diet than any of his trainers/handlers ever did he never needed this crap to beat his other 76 opponents over his 15 year career what's so different about Bruno that needs this stuff
