Chapter 16 Preparation For A Long Journey

15 June 1987

Lori was baking cookies and she was baking a lot of them too as she wanted to take some with her when she goes back to Royal Woods for the family and especially Lincoln to try as her family loved her cookies Lincoln never tried them since he was never there so she really wanted to surprise him with her cookies and also give him a taste of her cooking, Although she knew it would take a lot more than just cookies or hot lunches and dinners to win back his love and forgiveness, it was a good start as she had other ideas planned for when he returns and she will do what ever it takes to win him back

Meanwhile with Luna she was writing a song dedicated to Lincoln called My Little Brother and she would would want to perform it to him face to face but for now she was getting ready to release it as part of the band's new album A Warrior's Return as she was finishing up the Lyrics Jake walked in to the studio

Jake: Hi
Luna: Hey!!
Jake: Wow your so happy today, what's up and does it have to do with a certain someone finally coming back home?
Luna: Yes it does I have been waiting a long time for this day but it will be here soon and I want to be the first to welcome him back into our house
Jake: Ok so when will you be packing up and leaving for Royal Woods?
Luna: I'll start getting ready as from next week so what has your day been like?
Jake: It's been fine although the wife can be a pain in the ass sometimes and it's ridiculous
Luna: Wow

Meanwhile with Lana she was taking all her cars up for service so that they are in great condition the day she chooses one to go with

Meanwhile with Leni she was at home designing some boxing gloves for Lincoln as she wanted him to no longer be mad at her we'll see if it will work

Becky: So I see you put operation reconcile with your bro into action hey
Leni: Yes He deserves it I have a lot of wrong to erase so maybe this will do
Becky: No offense girl but you got a lot of pain and anger to erase it will need more than a homemade pair of boxing gloves to earn his forgiveness
Leni: I get that but there is no harm in trying right?
Becky ( Groans) yes there isn't but there is harm in not taking it seriously as this is your only chance to redeem yourself so I suggest you take it as such
Leni just continues knitting and ignores Becky

Meanwhile with Lucy she was back on set for the first day of shooting in Royal Woods and it was great and she also made her first contribution to the former champ's room his wife and  Lincoln's new room as she bought him a shower and a tv for their room and she showed Rita and Lynn Sr and they were very impressed

Meanwhile with Lily she was enjoying summer vacation back at home and since there are violent protests at college she will be going to Colorado in January but she was excited that she'll be seeing her famous big brother again although she was the only sister who Lincoln still loved she rarely talked to him since the wedding back in 1982 but the 21 year old was happy and she is performing very well in her second year of college. She was currently talking to her best friend she met in College in Candace Smith

Lily: Yeah I agree but it wasn't an easy decision he had to take
Candace: Yeah but it's pretty admirable as it's for the heavyweight title
Lily: Yeah but I want him to stop fighting now after this one with Martin
Candace: Why??
Lily: I am worried about him some of those fights he took beatings in them and I was recently looking up what happens to boxers and the results are not pretty as some are killed from brutal fights in the ring and others who make it to retirement end up with horrible brain diseases like Dementia and Parkinson's disease because they fought for too long or they lose or are robbed of all their money and die poor I'm worried about him, I don't want any of those happening to him!
Candace: It won't happen to him, I'm sure He knows that he will have to call it quits pretty soon as he doesn't want to be like his idol Muhammad Ali and I'm sure he saving up for a life after boxing
Lily: I hope your right as I wouldn't forgive myself or the Louds if something happened to him in that ring or if he retires as a near brain dead shell of himself as they made him go into boxing with how horribly they treated him and leaving him as a half educated kid in South Africa
Candace: Pretty understandable and I wouldn't hold it against you in fact I agree with you they caused this mess, so they should clean it up

Meanwhile with Lynn Jr she has just beat Evelyn Stevens and Candy Devine which got her a shot at the NWA United States Women's Championship against reigning champion Misty Blue Simmes and it was a war before Lynn made Simmes tap out to win the title and prove her dominance but she was loaned out to AWA from NWA and made a big impact over there and defeated longtime number one contender Velvet McIntyre and now she has a title match against AWA World Women's Champion Sherri Martel so Lynn was training very hard for this very opportunity as she was sure she could beat Sherri Martel

Meanwhile with Rita she was at her office taking a break between treating paitents teeth as she was eating a pizza she ordered as currently it's not very busy at the moment

Meanwhile with Lynn Sr he was at home with Lisa and Kataro and Bumper Sr as well as Harold and Howard McBride as they were busy converting her old bunker into a training camp for Lincoln as they'll be setting up a ring there tomorrow and Lana will be coming to set up the toilets and showers for him and the sparring partners next week

Lynn Sr: Everything is coming together right guys
Bumper Sr: Yes the weights and training gear will be delivered tomorrow and the gloves and gym decorations will be delivered later today
Kataro: I hope Lincoln loves what we did

Meanwhile with Lola she was on some movie promotion expeditions as she finished her scenes for The Princess Bride and a photoshoot before she heads back to Royal Woods as she had some redemption ideas for Lincoln she was nominated for Best Supporting actress for her role in Children Of A lesser God as Lydia but she lost to Diane West with her role of Holly 

Meanwhile with Lana she was almost done at the zoo and soon she'll be on her way back as she was very excited about helping out with Lincoln's training camp

Meanwhile with Luan she was at work as she was now on her last movie in the Princess Bride finishing up a few scenes before she had to return home but her performances in last year's movies was rewarded as she won Best Actress for her role in Top Gun as Charlotte Charlie Blackwood as she surpassed Marlee Matlin in Children Of A lesser God as Sarah Norman, Jane Fonda in The Morning After as Alex Sternbergen, Sissy Spacek in Crimes of The Heart as Babe Magrath and Sigourney Weaver in Aliens as Ellen Ripley

Meanwhile with The Heavyweight division here was the slightly changed Top 10 heavyweight rankings of the heavyweight division

Tim Witherspoon won a unanimous decision against Carl The Truth Williams to climb up to number 3 in the ranks

Meanwhile with Lincoln he was training very hard for his big rematch with Bruno Martin but on his acting he was nominated for Best Actor for his role in Aliens as Dwayne Hicks but he lost to Paul Newman who played Fast Eddie Felson in The Color Of Money which didn't affect him much as he was determined to win again next year and by the time he receives that award he hopes to have become The New Undisputed WBA, WBC and IBF Heavyweight Champion Of The World

After he got home he called a familiar meeting as he and Christina had an announcement to make to their kids once everyone arrived and sat down they spoke

Lincoln: Guys next month we'll be all going to see your grandparents
All the kids cheer
Christina: Not my parents but your dad's parents
All the kids groan
Lincoln: Believe me if I had a choice I would avoid this but I don't have one and 
Brandon: Ok dad and besides I would like to see what those people look like
Liberty: Me too and we promise we will protect you dad they won't hurt you with us around
Lincoln: Thanks guys

AN: Done The Louds are preparing for Lincoln's arrival which will be in three chapters time but his journey to the Loud house will begin in the champions after the next chapter as I'll be doing a time skip Anyway please leave your thoughts on the chapter I'll see you later bye
